If you keep up with my blogs, you should already know that I finished Bioshock and decided to move on to Oblivion. Many of you highly recommended me this game, and I was really expecting it to be better. Don't get me wrong, I gave it a try, and was constant in my gaming, but the game just didn't suit me. The game has an amazing presentation, with stunning graphics and a very fitting soundtrack, and a HUGE virtual world to explore. However, it didn't appeal for me in some points. The battle scheme was meh... I felt like I was just mashing buttons. I also felt that the game has a steep learning curve. Being new in the RPG genre, found it way to hard to adapt. And finally, the game is just endless. It's good for a game to be complex and have replay value, but I just felt I was getting nowhere, after many several of play. It's not that motivating to explore all that world, as it is with MMO like Wow and such, simply because you are not interacting with real people. I don't know, that's just the way I felt, don't blame me. I don't think Oblivion is my kind of game. Even though, I'm still not sure between giving it a second chance or let it go into oblivion

In other news, i decided to go retro and play one of the best RPGs ever: Chrono Trigger (I know, I said I was an RPG n00b,but I say this from what I have heard ). I played it before some time ago, but couldn't finish it, since I lost my data (how unfortunate). But some days ago, I decided to start it all over again, and man, it was really worth it. It's easily one of the best games I have ever played. I think every true gamer should play this game. Heck, it's even better than Bioshock Seriously, you should get it, specially since it has a DS port.

Well, that's all for now. I'll try to be more constant in my blogs from now on.

I really liked oblivion until I really noticed how formulatic it is... I still want to play it again sometime. Did you finish any quest trees? Dark Brotherhood? Thieves guild? Personally those are more fun than wandering...
