As some of you may have noticed, my contributions to the site have steadily declined over the past few months, mostly due to lack of interest and losing faith in this site. The staff seems more worried about changing the layout of the site every week rather than fixing bugs and making members happy.
I finally decided to quit today after reading TheHuntsman's blog. For all you Stargate fans, in case you didn't know, my set of Stargate icons were supposed to be added to the site well over a month ago. However, the staff has now decided to suddenly stop it. That, as well as TheHunstman's departure, are the straws that broke this camel's back.
I will be retiring from most of my guides over the next few days (although I'm keeping the guides I started from scratch). I'm now moving to TVRage.com, where most TV Tomers have gone to. After viewing that site for only a few moments, I could already tell that it's better than here. They have all the features that people here have been requesting for over a year, and the admins are actual users. I hope to see some of you over there.

I agree with theherooftime. And that proves that the staff is making a very bad job... I'm also thinking about leaving, at least the forums, since I lose everytime more faith. As well as happened to you, the departure of the huntsman really shocked me and made me think about staying in this site... It's sad to see that another "super contributor" leaves. What's next? Angelsxo, TTShadow and RoxieVelma leave? Have a nice day.

One more trusted folk is about to be gone. I can't believe how the site's managemant can't open their eyes and notive what's going on. I'm afraid it's a matter of time until Deb loses faith as well. And then, we are all doomed...

I'm sorry Digger, but that's a matter of opinion. Tvrage is a wonderful website and I'm glad that I finally "saw the light" where it was concerned.

I'm disappointed to see yet another member leaving this site just as I'm starting to play a more active role in it. I've played with TVRage in the past, but I'm personally not fond of it. That's not to say that things here are anywhere near perfect in any sense of the word, nor on any level, but I'm not revolted when I go to the site and actually try to use it. TVRage makes me feel like I'm using some low-end canned Wiki. Aesthetics matter to me. TV.com ultimately has a format and layout that I'll glady use day-in-day-out without problems. TVRage fits into the classificaiton of sites I go to grudgingly when I need information. They do, admittedly, have some of the features that would be nice to see here.
The one thing that bothers me most is this: "...and the admins are actual users." That, in and of itself, unfortunately, scares me. It can lead to more trouble when a bad situation does arise (and I'm sure there will indeed *be* bad situations) and moments of favoritism will inevitably play themselves out and leave burned users in their wake. Although perhaps my opinion will change over time as I start to deal with more and more problems here. Who knows?
