There's a very famous little phrase that people sometimes like to say when their referring to the city of San Francisco. “I left my heart in San Francisco". I almost left my dismantled figure in San Francisco. :d I was on my way to the upper sections of the city to visit a High School. I went down to the underground station to catch a train....while waving to a few friends from a distance, I started to walk backward for some reason.....one step.....another step....and another step....I started to lose my footing. I quickly realized that I was about to fall right on the track. And right after that realization, I heard the close echoes of the train speeding up to the station.

Just as the train arrived, I slipped, the train was within close range, just as it almost caught me in my transition to save myself, I quickly positioned one foot on the track and jumped up towards the platform. If I hadn't used my wits and some energy to regain some control, I would have been seriously hurt or killed. I don't think the driver would have been able to stop before he realized he was about to hit someone. Those things are automatically run I believe. If the thing was at full velocity, I would have died, but since it was moving closer to the station, the train was slowing down. However, it still was running at a rate in which I could have been hurt. It's amazing how at one crazy moment, you feel like something other then yourself. I cannot believe the train arrived just when I was about to slip backwards right onto the track. Folks were just staring blankly as all of them were busy in their own stuff at the moment. I left the station with a bruised knee, but at least I left alive.

I live for another day. I guess it wasn't my time.

It seems like I could have avoided the track before the train’s arrival, but keep in my mind, this reaction and the realization happened in one split moment for me. Thought I’d share.

I always wonder how our decisions affect our paths. How many decisions or choices have I amade that have saved my life? How many times have I come this close to death? It's scary to think about.

Has it ever crossed your mind that you could be the One? It'd certainly be more convincing had you backflipped your way out of danger or something.

Glad you're still with us Prophet.

Keith: I've always wanted to be like Neo.

I'd go buy a lottery ticket before the day's up.

Thankfully, you're okay. I've never had an experience like that before, but I did almost drown when I was 5. I slipped right off the dock into water that was above my head, but I managed to get out of that unharmed.

Had a couple of near death experiences and I can say that I am glad that they are in the past. Death tends to freak me out a bit.

Death doesn't scare me one bit since it's inevitable.... but yeah, after you get past a near death experience you are pumped full of adreiniline and freaking out.

My rush after rolling a car and almost killing myself lasted a couple of days.... couldn't sleep.... was all hyped.... felt like i was on air.... it was sweet.

Death may be inevitable, but until then...live life to it's fullest...

I'm glad your alright, proph. I came pretty close to death as well. I was on a sailboat at camp one year, and the wind was extremely strong that particular day. So much so that the boat tipped over. I got trapped under the sail and swam frantically looking for an opening to the surface. I turned around many times, losing track of where I was. Eventually I tried pushing the entire sail up, which ended up in a failure. I stopped swimming, I could remember thinking "I'm going to die." and accepted the fact that I would die. None the less, I began swimming again, and eventually found the edge of the sail.

One of the councellors came in a motorboat and took me to shore. Apparently I was under the water for just under a minute. I found that astounding because I knew I could only hold my breath for about 30 seconds maximum. Anyway, I made it out alive

A former friend (now a friend of a few friends) of mine was riding his BMX (with brakes that broke) down a hill, through a red light, and right into a car. Fortunately, the car was stationary, but he fractured his skull in three places and is now in Critical Care at the Royal Columbian hospital over here. He and I have not been on good terms at all for several years, but I still feel sympathetic for him...

Anyways, it's good to know you weren't hurt at all. Somebody must've been looking down on you.
