Blades of Glory definitely has its share of funny and entertaining moments, but by the end, nothing really seems memorable. Many of the movies jokes have been played to death in the previews, and without Will Ferrell reprising the role of a self indulged skater ( much too similar to Ron Burgundy in Anchorman), the movie is destined to go down the drain. As a matter of fact, Will Ferrell is the only character in the movie that is remotely interesting. In utter failure, Jon Heder is only funny because his persona is completely opposite the manly and raunchy Will Ferrell.As the pair (Heder and Ferrell) team up, they are trained by a coach who, much like Dodgeball's Rip Torn, is supposed to be funny through his anger, but this too fails since nothing he ever says is funny. The rest of the cast is pretty boring as well, and like I said before, Will Ferrell is the only thing keeping this movie on its feet. Blades of Glory isn't bad if your looking for a few good laughs, but don't expect to leave the theater feeling like you've seen one of Will Ferrell's best movies. It's funny, but forgettable.
