I haven't bought an album, or even an EP in ages. I don't buy singles anyway...

Apart from Cherubs singles. They have a new one out in February called Paper, Cut, Moon, and out of their four singles, it'll be the third which doesn't appear on their debut album, Uncovered by Heartbeat. And that's what I like. As a big fan of the band, them having non-album singles, makes it worth buying the singles. More bands should do it.

Saying that, I remember reading that Razorlight would stop releasing singles from their albums and their single Somewhere Else wasn't on their debut...until they re-released it. Cheeky bast...

I don't like re-releasing of any form. I've noticed a lot of recent bands have done it. They release the song which would sell more first. They get popular off other singles, and then re-release the single.
And then, maybe they'll release the album!

Kasabian, Bloc Party, The Futureheads...To name a few. They're the indie bands I know who've done it. I've not really noticed outside of the indie-rock genre, yet.
