Dont get me wrong, Microsofts press confernece made me glad i bought a 360 also but nintendos was a huge letdown.
No new Zelda, no new Starfox, no new Pikmin. So what game did they announce to please Nintendos hardcore gamer, Animal Crossing. Animal Crossing, Really? At what point does Animal Crossing come across as a game for a hardcore gamer.
Wii fans will be happy to see that the new Call of Duty is coming to the Wii, but im pretty sure every wii60 owner or pswii was already planning on getting that game, and there still getting it for there other system.
Now Microsoft had a awesome E3 so far, they gave out info on almost all there big games, im pretty disappointed that i didnt see Dead Rising 2 yet but theres still plenty of E3 to go. And when they were saying all there Rareware stuff, i thought my longshot of a dream was gonna come true with a sequel to Conkers Bad Fur Day, but it didnt.
Even Sony had a decent press conference, i didnt see it all but i Resistence PSP game looks like a must have, DLC for that Ratchet and Clank game was announced aswell as God of War 3, but no Kingdom Hearts.
I think Microsoft had the best E3, with the avatars thing and the remodel of xbox live, not to mention they partnered with Netflix, Universal and NBC, now i get to see the greatest show on the universe on my 360, The Office. Also i know tonight there gonna have new info on Street Fighter 4 so i cant wait to see that.
Well ill leave asking what did you think of the press conferences?

Nintendo's offering was underwhelming. I don't think they can do GTA on the DS well. And we all knew Animal Crossing was coming. It was a poorly kept secret.
I haven't watched the Sony conference yet but if it announced God of War 3 then it is instantly better than what Nintendo showed.
And the sad thing is I like Nintendo the most.
Okay, I honestly don't get what the big deal is here. What's wrong with watching the show on your TV? Is it just the novelty of being able to watch TV shows on your gaming console? This is just my personal opinion, but I think that even though technology can allow for many new and amusing things, not all of them are particularly practical or effective, or advances forward in some way.
Microsoft was bad....except for Gears 2 which made me drool....Fable 2 etc....just suck >_>
And PS3........uh...mostly uninteresting except for the neat God of War 3 video showcasing the awesome Kratos graphics.......and uh........idk...>Resistance 2?
This E3 wasnt very exciting. >_>
Oh and The Office is wack
lies......
gave up on call of duty after cod4. gears 2 is getting my money
Of course the actual focus was on someone other than us, so it seems most of the hardcore has pretty much given up on Nintendo.
A lot of Nintendo fans have been saying things like, "What the frell is Nintendo thinking?!?" And I found a very interesting interview with Miyamoto over at MSNBC.com (exactly the sort of media outlet Nintendo was focusing on with that conference): http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25710005/
In this interview he flat out states that Nintendo is no longer going to use E3 to make big hardcore title announcements, but that they will make such announcements later on down the line. In other words, assuming E3 continues at all, all of us hardcore Nintendo fans would be better off not getting our hopes up next year. I actually find this fact comforting, because in the quote Miyamoto confirms that there are hardcore titles coming.
All that said I'm personally looking forward to Animal Crossing (even if it is a bit too similar to the DS and Gamecube games), Motion Plus, and Wii Music. I think I may be the only actual gamer in the entire world who has not just dismissed this game out of hand. But I enjoyed Electroplankton on the DS, which shared a number of similarities to Wii Music (sadly among those similarities is not the fantastic art style seen in Electroplankton). I sometimes think gamers can be just a bit too elitist when it comes to stuff like Wii Music.
GO TO HELL

I still think the news that FFXIII going to the X360 was the biggest news of all 3.
