I don't know why people want non-Nintendo characters in the Smash Bros games. I know some guys will seem cool, but they want characters that have zero chance of getting in. Like the common one I keep on hearing is Master Chief. Like I said, zero chance of getting in because he's owned by Microsoft.

The reason Snake is in Brawl because the Metal Gear series was on the NES, and Sonic is in Brawl because Sega was Nintendo's first real competition, and I think Nintendo and Sega are friends now. I think Nintendo will select third party characters only if they're related to Nintendo in a significant way.
