Well yea you all heard yesterday's news, Final Fantasy XIII will be on 360 and even at the same time as PS3...
i wanted PS3 to be better because for 2 generations they were the best and they served so well that satisfied us more than we expected... so I want this to be continued with PS3 but late release, almost all games were multiplatform and weak exclusives till MGS4... people were waiting MGS4's release and MGS4 had big impact on PS3 sales and the game was great too... now people started to wait for FFXIII on PS3 but yesterday SE announced they break their promise and FFXIII will be on 360 too...
i dont care m$ side, they try to do everything they can, its business but if you give hope and promise someone to help, you should better not break it... they gave hope to PS3 but it seems it was for crushing it because yesterday's announcement was definitely the biggest and worst hit for PS3, backstabbing ? it went through heart...
recently, SE was releasing all crappy games, so many spin-offs instead of new, innovative games and you all heard their "if anyone tries to do something new, he/she will be fired" but that was because of their weak spin-offs.. they thought if they make a game with FF game it will sell anyway and started to mass production till they realize they are losing repuation and money...
i think SE even deserves bankruptcy now... they left their best era so long ago... look at PS1 games without FF names, Xenogears, Vagrant Story, Chrono Cross, Parasite Eve, etc. they are all still favorites of many people and they are all different and were new in their time. now all SE does is producing games based on FF name with old ideas...
now to make up this loss, to stop bankruptcy, they accepted the cash from m$ to not risk with sales on PS3... they didnt believe the essential FF numbers' fans. well yea if you are in debt its usual to search for money but if there is a promise you made, there is no reason to break it...
well i'm terribly disappointed with FFXIII news and now i dont even care about this game, it will be just another average multiplatform game because now instead of improving the game, they will spend their time for 360 port.
again m$ tries hard to get rpg audience but 360 audience is FPS gamers mostly, i dont know this will work but it wont work on Japan anyway and PS3 is bigger on Europe too so again it will be for American players which choose fps and multiplayer over rpg and single player...
m$ can try anything, like i care, it wont be appealing for me... their greatest games are on PC or will be on PC but this is big loss for PS3... loss for SE in their repuation and fans...
oh yea of course there is another big reason for this, Sony is cheap... so they deserved it too...
yea some of you say "like SE cares about what you say" but still there are people think like me... I dont respect Square Enix anymore...

On the other hand Devil May Cry 4 and Grand Theft Auto IV have gone through the same console "moving" and they were both Sony's exclusives before. Both of these games are doing great so I expect the same results for final fantasy XIII, it doesn't matter where it's sold, it always sells very well.
I was one of the people who bought a PS3 for exclusives, and knowing that the 360 will have Final Fantasy really bothers me.
You can't deny the fact that they make amazing games, multiplatform is merely spreading the enjoyment of their games so in their vision, they think they are expanding their ideals to a larger gamer base.
To be honest, I don't think Microsoft has anything to do with this, Square Enix probably went and wanted a bigger profit and so they ported FFXIII, however Versus may be exclusive but the question is, how long?
someone is more upset than me... well yea Sony is losing pretty bad but actually they still have more exclusives thanks to m$'s idiotic policy with PC. if i can play it on PC why would i buy a crappy console ? i just would want these exclusives would be still exclusives so Sony would win easily...Mangaminx : hahah well thats good for you and actually its bad for you and all of us too... just because of this porting issue game will lose at least %25 of its quality... thanks to its size and wasted improvement time ( they will spend their time on porting instead of improving the game... ).. oh well, i hope you enjoy it

XELUMGODHAND : well, GTA4 was expected to be exclusive but before that was announced m$ got it. so it was not this big and it was timed exclusive anyway... about DMC4... its good series but its not that big compared to FF series, it was disappointment but not a big one like this... and now FF13 was in production for years exclusively for PS3 so to be able to port it for 360 now they'll spend their time to water down the game to be able to fit it on 4+ discs... with their cost, SE will get less profit with 360 copies but they got their cash already so they dont care lol...
Colmillios : well, its because many PS3 owners were happy about that they had FF13 as exclusive game and some even bought PS3 for FF series, they are right to be pissed
in my case, i'm just sad because Sony is now losing pretty badly... though i'll still get it just for MGS4 but i wanted additional quality exclusives...HeavenNathius : i feel you... i hope the future games on PS3 will be good... well at least White Knight Story and inFamous should be good...
Rhen_Var : well actually they dont make amazing games anymore. 2 in 15 trial is not a success... they make bazillion games recently and only TWEWY and CC: FF7 was good... so they are far from their former self... SE is just struggling to not see their end...
well, you are right, they will probably announce it will be ported on 360 when its close enough to release date...

sonic_guy02 : FF13 will be on PS3 and Tales of Vesperia as well. so i think you should check future games. FF vs 13 is still exclusive, though it may be changed with FF13 news now.

Ok, yeah, I feel you. $E backstabbed Sony big time, and what pisses me off is not even that. What pisses me off is they are probably gonna have to dumb down the damn game just to fit the 360 capability limits.

yes, exactly my thoughts, to make it look like "fair" they will dumb down their best game... i wonder what will happen to se and their games...
