Appologies for my absence as of late folks, I started University this september, and as of day one it has consumed my time as if it were a monster feeding upon my flesh. Perhaps a rather grim analogy, but a fitting one none the less I can assure you.

Thusfar, I've been struggling with the transition. Not only has it proven difficult to keep up with the materials and readings, but considering its week three and we're already writing papers, I can't help but feel I'm being put to the test before I've even had time to learn anything relevant.

This has also meant much less time being devoted to gaming. I've managed to grab a few more platinum trophies, for BioShock and the Genesis Collection taking my total to five, and numbers six and seven will come if I ever find the time to scoop up the last few trophies from Killzone2 and InFamous.

I've also got two games incoming, having pre-ordered "Uncharted 2" and "Demon Souls", but given my recent and ever growing workload at University, they'll probably sit on my shelf unappreciated for longer than I'd like.

Anyhow, my time has been spoken for as of late, but I did want to check in and send my regards to you all, especially those friends from my unions whom I dearly miss chatting with more frequently.

Welcome to video game hell, my friend. This is why I stayed up until 6 AM every night and rented half a dozen games on top of all my purchases: I knew once school hit I'd have no time anymore. I'm still trying to make my way through my rented copy of Uncharted and my owned Arkham Asylum when I get tired of Uncharted. Still haven't touched Bioshock though, and probably won't for the forseeable future.

If you don't mind me asking, what are you studying?

Good to hear from you, buddy. Keep working hard in school, you'll appreciate it later.

@ T-PRIME - yeah, I had figured my time would need much more management, but I was still optimistic to find a few nights here and there for gaming and gamespoting. So far through the first few weeks, its been all work and no play.

@ AZEL KOS MOS - I'm studying Sociology as my major, and English as my minor. Both are fields I enjoy (as compared to say mathematics, history etc) but both require a hell of a lot of extra reading and research to go along with the regular assignments and tests.

@ DCHISPIRTLE - Thanks for the positive words. As an older student going back (I'm at least 8 years older than most of the students coming right out of high school) I've found it somewhat difficult to adjust, especially having been out of school for 7 years. Alot has changed since last I had to worry about research and homework, lol.

I see. English i approve of, not so much sociology. Good luck with all the work.

@ AZEL KOS MOS - the weird part is, so far, I've found both areas of study to be alot more related than I had expected, almost as if they go hand in hand at times. Its interesting to me that as I learn more about people's motivations and behaviors in sociology, it can so easily be applied to investigating the theory and inspirations behind many of the works we're studying in the English classes. (example: we learned about gender roles in sociology, and many literary works we've covered in English had aspects dealing with role expectations as a key theme)

Keep your head up, Adam. I'm sure you'll get it sorted and be right as rain in no time.

Oh university you are so important and you take up so much time, but you are worth every second.

I see your point, TKF. Going back after all those years must feel odd and hard. Must be strange to be told to write a paper after 7 or 8 years, specially when everyone around you take it naturally as they did it several times on the previous semester.

But I'm sure this will fade soon and you'll be writing A+ papers more often then you'll be able to get silver trophies on the PSN. I dare say the same goes for games. Once you get the rust old of your writing and researching skills, you'll find yourself some evenings to sit back and relax.

Hey, you might even find a nice Kung lady at Uni.

@ 3K RANDY - Thanks Randy, cheers to that.

@ NATE - I keep telling myself that bro, lol, just remember its the means to a better end.

@ AKHORAHILL - The time and age gap is definitely the weirdest part of the experience. And yes, lol, should I meet a nice girl it would definitely enhance the journey.

@ CHANG 1910 - Definitely we'll be rocking the Demon Souls, though after the latest clips I've seen, the new PS3 castlevania might be my most anticipated upcoming game!

I'm into my week 4 of college and I undestand how you feel. I spend most of mt time in college studying, researching and whatnot. It's a real pain and I don't have much time to game either
