In what seemed like a strike against all gamers everywhere, EA has unbelievably bought the exclusive rights to the NFL for the next several years.

What does this entail for the regular joe shmoe gamer? Well if you are into Madden and ONLY Madden - probably not much- you are still going to get the licensed players and stadiums, teams etc... BUT if you are a gamer who enjoys diversity you will be severely dissapointed as other publishers will now have to rely on fake teams or have the ability to let the end user input the names of the players, time consuming at best.

What has EA wrought? Are they becoming the next microsoft? Only time will tell.

It sucks I hate it. They continue to make no improvments year after year. I can't wait for this maddness to end, (Hopefully the NFL doesn't renew this contract in 2008(Next year) If they do I'm am through with NFL console games.
