Holy Freakin' Potty Mouth Batman - now everyone knows Batgirl knows Curse Words! On September 10th, DC comics released the latest installment of Frank Miller (Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, 300) and Jim Lee's (Batman: Hush) brainchild - All Star Batman and Robin The Boy Wonder. Unfortunately for DC, issue #10 had just a few defects in the finalized printing, leaving all the curse words, which were supposed to be censored out of the comic by black bars, completely visible through the ink which was not dark enough to completely hide the offensive words. DC pulled back any and all shipments that had not already gone out and ordered all retailers to please destroy any and all copies they may receive or had already received. Luckily, or "downright unethically," depending on your point of view, for a special few, the comic shops sold them anyways. Ah, don't you just love capitalism? For those few who were able to get their hands on a copy that didn't want to just have a copy – "Yay…I own a rare issue!" - they can now pull in anywhere between $35 to $250 on Ebay for the recalled issue(s). The All Star Batman and Robin series run with a regular and variant cover, both of which, in this case, were printed with the defect. A tip to the collector's out there, the variant cover is more rare than the regular cover - printing only one variant for every 10 regular issues (hint...hint...if you can only get your hands on one, get the variant).
So, what exactly could Batgirl and the other cast have said that would have caused such a stir? Well, they include the following: "Sell your poison somewhere else. This here arcade belongs to the f**king Batgirl." or "F**k you twice, D**kwad. You let a f**king little piece of jailbait @ss steal your wheels…"
Jeez louize Batman! That is some of the harsh language found in the issue, although it should not come as much of a surprise considering that one of the Joker's "henchmen" seen in the series is a topless, butch, military cut woman with red swastikas over her nipples. She can be seen just as the Joker leaves a room where he has just finished killing Donna Gugina, an influential attorney.* It is a murder drenched in the darkest of Joker inspired pleasure, something which author Frank Miller is not at all afraid to explore.
The release date of the now properly edited issue is September 24, 2008.
* As seen in All Star Batman and Robin The Boy Wonder #8.How come I didn't get the emblem for the Sony Press Conference. About 40 minutes into it I had to refresh and then I had to refresh more because the feed kept freezing and stopping. When it would stop, it would only play the Marines commercial when I hit the play button. Why am I getting jip (I think that's how you spell that)? I got the one for Nintendo's nearly immediately.
Ugh...I hope I get it considering I actually saw the whole thing.... ![]()

Shwoohoo! I got a new emblem! Hey everyone, hope all is well...sorry I've been a wishy washy about being on. I've got a lot of stuff going on...mostly great stuff thankfully, but that has made it more difficult for me to get on here. Well, hopefully my activity should slowly but surely go back to what it used to be. Take it easy everyone and have a great week.
Alex
