Whoa. 79 messages in my inbox. Shocking.

Well, what have I been up to? I'll outline that right now.

Fallout 3:

It's like a much better version of Oblivion with guns! At first when I bought it, I thought the whole 40s-50s retro idea would completely turn me off from it, but it wasn't as bad as I thought. The world seemed a bit small for me, though, I liked Oblivion's better. Also, the tons of debris in DC makes it hard to traverse except through the metro stations, which also kind of irritated me. Nonetheless, the game is a blast. I got the first 3 DLCs and they're awesome (albeit pretty short). And those plethora of delicious mods (not the nude ones, mind you). Enclave Commander FTW!

Prototype:

I needed a game with nothing but pure mayhem and carnage with a touch of backstory to give me reason to do it. Prototype was this game. I beat the game fairly fast and got bored of it, but it serves me very well in alleviating anger. Very, very well. I still play it from time to time.

Far Cry 2:

See, when I was at the store, I had to make a hard choice with my bros about this. It was either this game, or Dawn of War 2. Now, since there's 3 of us, we could only get 3 games (as per parent rules). So we decided to get FC2. I absolutely regret doing that. First thing that I noticed, and stood out glaringly: the BAD ACTING. Jesus, Ubisoft Montreal, WHERE did you get your voice actors? The only person that sounded even halfway decent was Xianyang Bai, and even then... eww. Second thing: the whole feel of the game... it just felt like GTA in Africa in FPS mode, with a few safe zones thrown between. I had no feeling of "being in the game" at all, no immersion. It was just pretty much just run, gun, shoot, grab pay, repeat.

Oh, and the Jackal looks a lot like Jack Carver from the first Far Cry. Speaking of which, I'll go play that later.

Now, onto real life. I've been taking SAT study classes at the behest of my parents. Suffice to say that I don't really like it. Well, I like the learning, just not the sheer heavy amounts of work that they put on us. It's kind of irritating, but 8 weeks is a long time...

Still playing RO private servers. The new one I've been playing on has kept me playing for 8 months now... can't really describe it, but there's some sort of charm with RO that always keeps me coming back to it. Maybe it's because it IS a P2P game officially, and I've been playing nothing but crap F2Ps...but yeah. Also, Aion is coming out soon. I wish I had a credit card for that.

Oh, another thing. ? MechWarrior 5? Yes, please.

My attention span is starting to kick in again. Last 6 weeks of school. And I find myself coming to this site less and less...

I'll try to get back during the summer. Until then, I'll just be on and off, I guess.

First off: It's multiplatform. The whiny console people are finally getting their share of Crysis. :3

CryEngine 3 GDC2009 Demo

Yay?

UPDATE: OnLive. It seems weird.

Most notable features of it:
-Run every PC game regardless if it's on Mac
-Run every game at high detail and framerate regardless of computer hardware (This part, I'm interested in)
-See friends, view videos, buy/play games

Who knows, maybe PC gaming has finally gone past "next-gen" and maybe created a generation of its own? It's essentially the PC's version of Xbox Live (except you get more bang for your buck).

Some people just don't have opinions. Like TheC0m1ssar.
TheC0m1ssar must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could TheC0m1ssar possibly have for not rating a single film?
