Hi-ho everyone!! I know what you're going to say. Where have you been, Aussie Club? Well the club's been busy preparing a POLL!!! Woo-hoo! Click and go to vote on your favourites for 2006.

And to make up for the long absence, next week we'll have another quiz for you. And don't worry - there'll be another shiny suprise!!

Nicholas Boot, a reporter from Today Tonight and his crew are in hot water after they supplied the chains a 84 year old grandmother to make it appear she had gone to desperate measure to stay in her nursing home. Apparently, the authorities arrived to investigate if the woman's rights had been violated, only to find the whole thing was a stunt.

Love my way returns this week on Showtime. The series is still going strong as it heads into it's third season. Justine Clarke (The Surgeon) will soon be joining the cast.

The AFL broadcast is back on Seven with the start of the NAB Cup Pre Season Cup. Seven is starting off the year with nearly all the shows worth watching this year, such as Heroes, Ugly Betty and Grey's Anatomy.

That Ad with the kid in nappies crawling out of the crib to steal Mum and Dad's car and take it to the beach has been banned in Australia in the fear that it will encourage toddlers to do the same. Curiously, it's New Zealand's most popular advertisement.

Bridie Carter of McCloud's Daughters has landed a role as host of National Geographic.

John Waters returns to All Saints this week(27/2/2007)

The New Series Sea Patrol has finally dragged Lisa McCune away from the reality / documentary series drudgeons.

The US network NBC has started work on tv Australian rip-off series. Thank God You're Here and Kath and Kim are to be remade for American audiences. If the shows are so good to being with, why change them?

February 11-17, 2007

1. National Nine News Sunday
2. One Day Cricket - Australia v England - 2nd Final Session 2
3. Desperate Housewives
4. RPA
5. One Day Cricket - Australia v England - 2nd Final Session 1
6. Seven News - Sun
7. Today Tonight
8. Border Security - Australia's Front Line (R)
9. Seven News
10. 1 vs 100
11. Heroes
12. Missing Persons Unit
13. Lost
14. SCU: Serious Crash Unit
15. The Biggest Loser (Aus) - The Weigh In

I think it's good to see the Cricket still winning the ratings. Good for sport and national pride and all that. I don't watch it on TV, I'd prefer to see it live. There also seems to be a worrying amount of news, game shows and reality on the list. And why is it that the news is the No. 1 rated show - did something big happen last week?

Any birthdays, weddings, births - please send them in so we can post to let everyone know

Aewsome poll! I am really surprised that the shows Prison Break, Lost and Heroes arn't topping the charts. 2 of them are in there but not in the top 10. Nice to see your back with The Aussie Club!

Great to see The Aussie Club back in action. Great poll, too!

I was wondering where this had got too! lol great to see it's back

wow, is that the add where the little toddler goes to the beach and there's a little girl toddler too?? ohh that was the cutest add ever! As if that would give toddlers the idea to do that! THEY'RE TODDLERS! lol!

I know. I can really see a toddler looking at that ad and saying "Gee, I really want to take Daddy's car for a spin" AND actually doing it - putting aside the impossibility of the whole thing. I ask this question, how many toddlers in Australia have gotten behind the wheel of their parents' car since the commercial began, thus warranting its ban as it influences toddlers to drive?

haha. how come I have not seen that ad? lol. my brother was 4 when he set the car's hand brake off, while parked on a steep driveway. luckily, he managed to somehow set it back. lolol. Loff Kweenie xoxo

Voted in the poll.

I wouldn't be too upset with American remakes of Kath & Kim and Thank God Your Here.

Worst case scenario is that nobody cares and the Aussie makers of the show get heaps of money.

Best case scenario is they could have a US hit like The Office, and the Aussie makers get even more money.

Either way, the Aussie makers win, so we should be happy for them

Hi, Alex signed me up to the Aussie Club months ago, but I was very new to blogging...still am, really.

So Hi, anyway. I'm Kaz from Melbourne.

The poll was great, btw.

Hey, glad to see its back. Although it's been a month since this blog was posted. Wasn't there supposed to be a new blog every week or something? I dunno, I have a bad memory.

I did the poll. Heaps of fun. Hopefully the ratings for Australian dramas kick in. We've only got Australian news, reality, game shows, countdowns, sport or American dramas. Where are the Australian dramas?

Yay! The ol' club is back!
I just voted, I think I can predict some of the winners already!
