Well its been a long time. A very long time. About 4 months. I had been on since february but i hadn't updated stuff. Finally, summer boredom got to me and i'm doing it. First things first, picking up from my last blog, i did get a Wii. And i got Smash Bros and Mario Kart. And they were great...for 2 weeks. Damn it Wii, you got me again. Note to self, no matter what the game is, Wii will always only be fun for 2 weeks tops. However moving past that and on top my PS3 and 360, things have gone through quite the shake up in those worlds. For example, my 60GB PS3 broke just 2 days before GTA IV came out and about 5 days before my birthday. It was awesome /sarcasm. I had to get a 40GB because the 80GB w/ BC were no longer in production. Adjusting to my new PS3 has been hard (still not completely used to its features or lack there of). However, to ease some of this blow, i did buy a 320GB hard drive so memory is no longer an issue. I will buy a USB and SD/Memory Stick adapter next week to help on those fronts too. And as for BC, i'm looking to find a way to fix that. And as for my 360, despite many ups and downs of yes im gonna sell it, no im not gonna, yes i am, I think i am finally at a conclusion. No i am not selling it. There are many reasons: I love GH2 and Dead Rising, Halo 3 is fun, etc. But the reason that i am keeping it, is Gears of War 2. Damn that game looks good. And that brings me into the topic of this blog: My 10 Most Anticipated/Wanted games.

10. Ratchet and Clank Future: Quest for Booty

I was very excited when this game was announced at E3. Not only because it was new Ratchet and Clank but because it's one of the first to truly see some innovation. The way they have changed up the gameplay by adding several new functions to the wrench is terrific. I especially thought it was cool how you could hold those little green guys for traveling through dark caverns. it also seems like they are focusing a lot more on puzzles now which is always good. and they flowing up on Tools of Destruction's story so that makes me happy as well. It would be higher up on my list were it not for the fact that it's a shorter game.

9. God of War 3

Do i really have to say anything? It's freaking Kratos. I'm just so glad he's finally back and kicking a$$ on PS3. Not much known about this title which is why its only number 9. However, if the rumors are true and the gameplay looks anything like the trailer, we are going to have a new best looking game.

8. Motorstorm: Pacific Rift

When I saw it at GDC this year, Motorstorm was lucky to make it on my top 30 list. However, after seeing it at E3, it easily makes my top 10 list. Its amazing how much this title has improved in so little time. The graphics look absolutely stunning. And the much needed split screen is finally here. And trophies and custom soundtracks?! Wow. Motorstom Pacific Rift is shaping up to be a contender for racing game of the year.

7. Fallout 3

Not only is this game pretty (very pretty I might add), it's pretty long too. About 100 hours or so. Yeah, you're gonna be playing this for a while. And from what I saw at E3, the weapon system seems to be really deep and offers tons of customization (and im a sucker for customization). Its looking like its gonna be one of the best game out this fall.

6. Killzone 2

Up til now, my main reason for hyping Killzone 2 were the graphics. They were, and still are, stunning. And i mean absolutely stunning. I still have a hard time believing that what i'm seeing is actual gameplay. However, now i can finally say that there is something that Killzone 2 has that I think is better than its graphics: its multiplayer. From all the info that has been released, Killzone 2's multiplayer is looking to be nothing short of magical. While the single player is still looking a bit flat at this point (only one level seen so we really can't judge) the multiplayer is worth the 60 bucks alone. And in today's FPS world, you can have an alright single player and an amazing multiplayer and be considered GOTY by most *cough*CoD4*cough*.

5. Resident Evil 5

Up til now, I had always said that Resident Evil 5 looked great. Sharp graphics, RE4 ****gameplay, etc. However, in the back of my mind I felt it wouldn't impress as much as RE4. that's all changed. Online Coop anyone? Now you're not alone anymore when you are getting the crap scared out of you. Oh and the gameplay looks amazing.

4. Rock Band 2

Who didn't see this one coming from me? I loved Rock Band 1...a lot. I haven't put it down since I first played it. If you read my review, you'd see I was hard pressed to find problems with the game. There were a few but nothing severe. Luckily in Rock Band 2, thats all getting fixed and we're getting several new useful features that i wasn't expecting. And Backward compatible DLC is awesome. That means about 300 songs at launch including its 84 brand new, awesome tracks.

3. LittleBig Planet

I LOVE LITTLEBIG PLANET! its that simple. the possibilities are endless. Joker Sackboy? Check. Helghast Sackboy? Check. KRATOS SACKBOY?! CHECK?!!! This is MGS4's competition right here. Oh and its the cutest thing to happen to gaming ever.

2. Gears of War 2

What do you get when you take Gears of War and put it back in the oven for another 2 years to fix all the problems it had? Gears of War 2 of course. Quite literally, Gears of War 2 has fixed every single problem I had with Gear of War 1. As said before, this is the main reason I am keeping my 360. Gears of War 2 is looking so good that there is only 1 game that I could think of that I'd rather play.

1. Resistance 2

Come on, do I need to explain this one? 2 campaigns, 300 foot monsters, 8 player coop, 60 player online multiplayer, immense scale with gigantic battle cruisers, stunning graphics and did I mention the 300 foot monsters? Resistance 2 has improved in so many ways its almost unreal. It is truly a stunning sequel to PS3's best launch game, one of the best shooters ever, and the game that made PS3 worth owning in its early months. Resistance 2 will blow everyone's minds.

So closing comments, I can't wait for this November. It's gonna be 2006 all over again. Resistance vs. Gears of War again. And this i dont think that a winner will be so clear.
