So I got my hands on a couple ps2 games for a great deal recently, notably Shadow of the Colossus, and when I went to play it in my ps3 much to my dismay it wouldn't read it! I should have done some research first and would have found if the ps3 has only 2 usb inputs it is NOT backwards compatible. Rather than let the masterpiece that is Colossus sit on my shelf I went out and picked up the ps2. $100 was worth it for the amazing game lineup, I could have went with a used slim for $50, but when the clerk at crockstop, ehrrm, gamestop, opened the box on one and pulled out a scratched up, old looking ps2 slim I caved and bought the new one. Please leave me some recommendations on some must-play ps2 games, I know there are way more than I already know about ![]()

In the next 10-20 years gaming is going to step out of the screen and into your surroundings, no, this is not science fiction. This link provides an in-depth look at what augmented reality is, I found it very interesting.
Here's a bit from the article about gaming: Gaming - How cool would it be to take video games outside? The game could be projected onto the real world around you, and you could, literally, be in it as one of the characters. One Australian researcher has created a prototype game that combines Quake, a popular video game, with augmented reality. He put a model of a university campus into the game's software. Now, when he uses this system, the game surrounds him as he walks across campus.
BioWare are the masters of creating well crafted and thoroughly developed rpg's, authentic rpg's, that really provide an intelligent gameplay experience that requires cognitive thinking and relies more on a player's skill rather than mindless combat and obsessing over gear and stats, and instills moral feelings into the player that awaken their minds while playing, whether it be the light side or the dark side, or somewhere in between. I think it's worthy of a collector's edition and I just picked one up from amazon, now I just need to finish up the games I'm playing by November to make room for my journey into Origins.
