Or did I? That's right, i did - I took the leap and got me a PS3!!!! I was gonna get one in October, cause i get a third paycheque, which is the only reason why i could, and i went in yesterday to put a deposit on one, and LO! they were already in, even though they weren't sposed to be for another week or more!! So.... my bills and responsibilities will have to wait, it had to be gotten.
Unfortunately I don't have any games for it yet - lol - so i busied myself setting up the system and my ID, and Playstation Home... which is a real trip.... too bad the first thing anyone said to me was pervy... ugh, no matter how advanced technology gets, it doesn't make people any better, does it?
I'll probably go back to the Box tonight and play my much-anticipated ME dlc.... but i thought i'd share the news with you guys ^_^ Peace!

I advice you to get Metal Gear solid 4:Guns of the Patriots first,Simply the best game ever hands-down.

@1995_1996_1997: unfortunately, not really my thing - i was never into MGS, even on PS2.
@Garfield360UK: my PSN id is the same as on Live, and on here - i figured i'd make it easy on myself and my friends ^___^ Add me when you get a sec I have several games i want to get but the two top ones i'm looking forward to are Demon's Souls and Heavy Rain. I will also dl FFVII probably this weekend ^__^

I know what you mean. I am pretty giddy whenever I get a new console. After a while it just ends up being a expensive paperweight for me though.

@siberian142: that is how i am with handhelds... consoles get used, loved and treated very well in my home - the Box has gotten lots of love, now it has to share its perch, and my attentions; i hope it doesn't get jealous and explode!

I prefer handhelds. I like playing games in the car.

Woot! So Lady Symon finally does show her true roots and her Sony blood by buying a PS3. I knew you would do it and I am glad for you that you did. Don't worry if you're not able to get all the games you want initially...it will take time.

I will also be getting a PS3 next year albeit with lesser enthusiasm after seeing that even PS3 Slim lacks a PS2 backwards compatibility which I want so badly.
Guess I'll have to buy a PS3 AND a PS2 then.

@Shinobi-Neo: I played the demo for the 360, and it was ok; there's just so many other games i'm more into that come first, but i still might eventually get it

I want a PS3, too...and an Xbox 360...and a Wii...and of course, the $$$ needed to buy them, along with all the best games for them. Right now, all I have is the PS2, DS and PC, which are all great. Still, I also want ALL of the next-gen consoles. It's really is to bad I don't have the $$$ for them. Maybe some day I will...

@N8A: It IS a slim.... they came out a week early apparently - i was just in there to put a deposit on one and there they were LOL. I couldn't resist ^__^
@darklord239: mine IS a slim... it's possible it's out where you are too, here it's EB games, in the States it's Gamestop... they got them in early

There are actually a number of games i'm looking forward to, though admittedly few that are currently out. I've already pre-ordered Demon's Souls, and I'm definitely getting Heavy Rain, and several other titles which are coming out next year. I also played the demo for Valkyria Chronicles, and i'm planning on dl-ing FFVII as well ^___^
