I was first introduced to Tom Welling, as I'm sure most people were, by Smallville.

I saw a young fresh faced guy and didn't really give it anymore thought.

I think that Tom was the perfect casting for the pre-Superman Clark Kent and had all the "farm boy" qualities as well as the look that was needed.

Tom has clearly progressed in his role and is becoming a capable actor. He has a selection of movies now and I have to say that I enjoyed Cheaper by the Dozen.

I would like to see Tom in a darker role other than the pigeon holed teen horrors (The Fog) and comedies.
