For those who regularly comment on my blog, I figured I'd do something fun to keep you entertained, even if only for a few seconds. As the title of this post implies, I'm going to start taking up on riddles. The idea sort of popped into my mind when I wrote my poetic tribute to the Nintendo Gamecube; so, I decided to incorporate my rhyming talents into little riddles (I have a ton of them stockpiled in my AP Literature journal right now).
I still have yet to figure out a way to honor the first person to solve the riddle, but I'll probably utilize a point system and keep track of the top three scores in my blog's header or my signature. Actually, I think I'll just have the first person that solve's the riddle get a point.
Chances are that I'll be able to give some prizes to the top three scores at the end of the year; I remember offering up some prizes for a union's Mario Kart DS tournament one time. The prizes might be big, I'm generally generous to my friends (new games or new systems are all I've given since I started working) so keep an eye out.
Updates are going to be random, to keep everything fair to those who live in different areas of the world; but for every update, I'm only going to give at least a day for you all to solve it. Once a certain amount of time has passed, I'll break down the riddle and explain why the specific game was tailored to the riddle. I'll allocate the points and update my blog header if need be.
The riddles are subject to spoilers and I'm not responsible for ruining a game's ending should you choose to read the riddle. Entries for the riddle can entered via blog comment or private message, but if you're caught editing your comment to make it seem like you got the riddle solved first, you'll be suspended from the competition as a whole. Additionally, only one entry may be submitted per riddle.
Now that I've got some of the rules cleared out of the way, let me put up the first riddle (which I intentionally made easy):
The lonely warrior flies high in the sky,
Out for revenge, though he's destined to die.
Enemies' light is life, darkness as well,
Choose your side quickly, or doom you will spell.
Five chapters make up this fighter's story,
His tale of self-sacrifice and glory.
What game is this?

Whoa whoa whoa. I didn't mean to say Warrior Within. I meant Two Thrones. Since we can't edit, I just made a new post to prevent cheating.
