Laura (from Gamespot UK) always has good things to say about the Phoenix Wright series, but I have never picked it up. I recently ordered the first game from eBay (it was out of stock on sites such as Amazon) and I'm currently in the second case. I'm instantly in love it all, and it feels much like Hotel Dusk, a game I loved playing at the end of '07.

I'm looking forward to working my way through the cases and playing all the different games, although judging by the reviews it seems the rest are all pretty much the same game, just with new cases. What do you think on this? Do the later games in the series deserve the scores they got?

Another eBay purchase of mine is Grim Fandango. It's one of those games that I wish I had played when it first came out, but I was just not interested for whatever reason. I'm only about half an hour (if that) deep in the game, but the voice acting is an immediate highlight for me.

I'm finding the controls a bit iffy (I switched to using the 360 controller, and that's working out a bit better), but I suppose they're just like Monkey Island 4. I would have preferred a point and click game with 3D environments, - the recent Sam & Max games being a good example of this - but I suppose you can't have it all!

I adore the entire Ace Attorney series. I've been importing them upon US release since the second. They're all brilliant and the series is by far one of my all time favourites if not my number one.

Big_Bad_Sad - If you've got the LucasArts Classic release then it'll even work on Vista.
Strike_Zer0 - I heard that the games didn't get released (or aren't) in order over here... weird!

I'm actually playing "Pheonix Wright: Justice for All" right now, I like the series. I can see why some people don't like it, it's barely considered a "Game", more like a graphic novel. But I really like linear games, games with multiple endings and paths piss me off.
