First up, I'd like to wish everyone a Happy New Year and I hope you had a good Christmas. Mine was excellent and one of my presents was Hotel Dusk: Room 215, now one of my favourite DS games. You play the role of Kyle Hyde and you are out looking for your partner Bradley at Hotel Dusk, but while you're there other mysteries unwrap...
The DS really needs more games in the genre and stylė like this, simply because it's what I love. Adventure games aren't as popular as they used to be and so Hotel Dusk has turned into somewhat of an unappreciated, ċlassic game. You can find out some more of my feelings in my review. It really is worth a purchase.

Another game I got under the tree was Need for Speed: Pro Street. I've not been a fan of NFS for long, and only really started getting the games when Most Wanted came out (which is still, in my opinion, the best NFS game out there). When ProStreet was announced, I was a bit weary (I posted about it here in my blog). Was I right to be?
Yes, I think so. Even though I haven't played it much yet, I can already see flaws. Similar track designs, no police and open worlds, annoying commentator, hard-to-navigate career menu. However, the cars do handle well and the game looks really stunning. I'll have a review posted up as soon as I've completed it.
