Teeth
An original idea. Could be a moderate cult classic in later years.

Stephen King's The Mist
Seeing as how the religious nut was in the original novella...you had to have her in the movie. She's supposed to piss you off.

Ed Wood
Martin Landau as Bela Lugosi steals this film and I cried when his character took his tragic turn.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze
One of my favorites as a kid is just as good on another viewing over a decade later. Hilarious dialogue. Great Puppetter work.

High Plains Drifter
One of the best, if not the best, Eastwood film.

Close Encounters of the Third Kind
It is quite good but not up to the level of some other Spielberg classics.

1408
One of the best movies I've seen that were released in the last 5 years. John Cusack & Samuel L. Jackson both do great in their roles.

Attack of the Giant Leeches
Yet Another cheesy, old horror movie that I enjoyed. They are a guilty pleasure of mine.

The Mad Monster
A decent enough older movie. Alot of references to "creating super soldiers". Obviously because it was made during World War II.

The Bat
Vincent Price is at the top of his game in this film.

The Giant Gila Monster
This movie tends to be underrated. The special effects aren't that great but they are pretty good for it's time. The dialogue suffers but the acting is good.

The Wasp Woman
Yet another classic from Roger Corman. Of course, if you don't like his films then steer clear.

The Creature From The Haunted Sea
A parody of monster movies and political thrillers (yes you read that right), the case can be made that this is Roger Corman's best film. It's good for several chuckles as well as some better than given credit for acting & dialogue.

The Vampire Bat
A good cast for its day. Decent plot. Still eerie. All-in-all a good old vampire/horror film to check out on some slow night.

Nosferatu, eine Symphonie des Grauens
An all-time silent film classic and one of the first (if not the first) vampire & horror films made. It has a very eerie feeling permeating throughout.

The Devil Bat
Bela Lugosi (as in most of his films) does a fantastic job. The cast as a whole also does well. It has good pacing and good (for its day) special effects.

Atom Age Vampire
The plot and acting are better than you may think from an aging horror/sci-fi flick. This movie resonates with a theme about vanity and what some would do to maintain beauty.

The Satanic Rites of Dracula
This is one of the better horror films from the 70's I have seen. The acting is top notch with Christopher Lee & Peter Cushing.

Boiler Room
The plot and dialogue are both well-done. And the cast is like a "who's-who" of young actors from the late 90's-early 00's.

Valentine
This is one of the better horror movies overall from the last several years. It isn't a mindless gore flick. It has good pacing. Nice soundtrack. I'd recommend it to anyone as a good friday night rental.

Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid
This movie is an insult to the first Anacondas movie. First one is good cheesy...this one is just crappy cheesy.

Andromeda Strain
I much preferred this movie to the book by Michael Crichton its based on.
Posted mar 31, 2008 2:32 am pt

Transformers
This movie had a very good and very deep cast of familiar faces.
Posted mar 25, 2008 2:30 am pt

Superman Returns
Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor stole the show.

What A Girl Wants
I must confess I just watched it for the adorable Amanda Bynes. It is a good story.
