Kirby drew the short straw and is matched up against Pac-Man in round one. But that doesn't matter, you have to beat the best to be the best!

I have to give props to Pac-Man for being one of the original gaming icons. But that is it. Pac-Man is an icon, not a hero. He is a known coward in his games running away from ghosts at the drop of a hat. Only when he pops a chemically enhanced pellet that makes him nigh invincible does he attack the ghosts. Once the effect wears off, Pac-Man flees with his proverbial tail between his non-existent legs.

Kirby, on the other hand, takes his enemies head-on. He doesn't side step his way to victory. He doesn't need to eat a pill to gain super powers; Kirby is a natural hero.

If we look at a sports analogy to this matchup. Pac-Man would be Manny Ramirez while Kirby would be Babe Ruth. Who would you rather have as your hero? I rest my case.
