Halfway through my self imposed torment of revamping the house, the next weekend arrived much earlier than expected. Actually, I hoped this weekend would never come, and that somehow we'd skip straight from friday to monday . I even tried to summon an ancient pagan god to accomplish such dark purpose. To no avail, I might add. Some walls are done, but not all, the front door needs some work as well and I need to get a new drill because I butchered my old one last weekend and the wife wants to hang that stuff that wives love to hang, besides procrastinating husbands, that is.
At any rate, working at home is much better than having weekend shifts, and I spent most of the past weekend in a good mood, maybe because I had my two daughters trying to help around (although epically failing at that, in a hurricane of spilled paint, flying brushes, screams and laughter), or perhaps because of the subtle effects of paint thinner. I was smiling more than usual, I'll tell you.
I figured that at some point in my life I'd stop playing a football game long enough to try something else for a change, and maybe this weekend will give me the window of opportunity I need to start with the first chapter of the Backlog Chronicles. Who knows. Life is full of mysteries.
I hope you guys and girls have a great weekend.
Oh! And congratulations to Skitch and Dvader, who took the RE5 speedrun world leaderboards by storm. Guys, you totally kick zombie ass.
