Hey everyone. I hoped you all had a pleasant New Year's Eve and Day. I was thinking of a good blog to start off the new year (200
. During that time, I was listening to a new CD I bought that just came out this week. The CD was so good, I just had to tell my fellow Gamespotters on my thoughts about it.

I'll be really honest. This is my first time listening to Radiohead, so I didn't expect much. I went through a few of my friends' best albums of 2007 and most of them had In Rainbows on their list. A day later, a friend of mine I knew personally sent me one song from the In Rainbows digital download, and it was 15 Step (which is the first track on the album). I thought it was good, and I just went on with my life. During Christmas break, I just couldn't stop humming 15 Step, and I finally decided to buy the album on 1-02-08.
The first thing you should consider is to have a blank CD case ready, as the package comes with only a CD envelope for the CD, stickers, the pampler. The "do-it-yourself" packaging is really cool, and I had fun trying to put the stickers on the blank CD and such. But I can imagine that some people might be turned off by this, and would pay extra for a more professionally made CD.
The songs are great, I enjoyed every one of them, in my opinion there isn't a weak track. Each song flows perfectly from one to the next. As a person who hasn't heard any of Radiohead's other albums, I can't judge if this is their best. I definately recommend Nude, All I Need, House of Cards, and 15 Step.Radiohead is experimenting with rock, and in this album in particular it will certainly entertain. It's a great album for the start of a hopeful year, and hopefully it won't be just recongnized as the album to feature "do-it-yourself" packaging or "pick-your-price" digital downloading, but as a collection of great songs surely to be accesible to everyone.

mjcowley: There should be more CDs (heck, DVDs?) that feature do-it-yourself.
