I'm so glad I finally got a chance to do this blog! Things have been really busy and exhausting and I'm just happy I caught a break to discuss the goodness that is Twilight! Before I forget....I made another video about "Leyton" and I think that it's the best one I've done so far....

Now onto the discussion!!!

So At the beginning, I was happy to see that everyone was nice to Bella (even though she was the cop's daughter) and made her sit at their table and walked her to c l a s s That was really sweet of them!

So let's just skip right to the Edward parts, shall we? When I first read this book and I didn't have a clue that he was a vampire, I was VERY mad at Edward when they were in Biology and he tensed up and scooted away from her. Or after school when Bella was in the office and Edward was there??

I'm a sucker for a Hurt/Comfort....so I loved all the hurt scenes. Like when Bella almost got hit by that car , or on that deserted street when she ran into those guys , or when they were doing blood testing in Biology or when she fainted when they kissed , and let's not forget in the DANCE STUDIO!!!!!!

All incidents in where the wonderful Edward (insert girlie sigh here) saved her life!

There were many romantic moments like in the meadow or when he was "dazzling" her

So I'll be quiet and let you guys talk away. I'll be by to check my blog every so often so we can keep this discussion going. There is still ALOT to discuss.

The Rules are to not start any fights by trying to make your opinion superior.....and no hitting the Anti-Edward people .

Posted Mar 10, 2008 9:20 am PT
OMG!!! I love Edward. But I'm also torn. I love Edward, but then I also love Jacob. My friend thinks I'm crazy, but Jacob...is just....well, I really like him. But still, I'm an Edward girl.

I need to refresh my memory so I can talk more about it.
Posted Mar 10, 2008 12:27 pm PT
I've actually met many Anti-Edward people! I thought they were high, but I guess not

It was funny when that guy thought he was going to the prom with Bella and Edward rearranged it and made Charlie give him the bad news!
Posted Mar 10, 2008 1:27 pm PT
I also thought it was funny how Bella was so clueless about why Alice dressed her. And her figuring out it's for the prom.
Posted Mar 10, 2008 1:38 pm PT
Ya, but why would she think that she and Edward would dress her up when he would "turn her"??
Posted Mar 10, 2008 3:04 pm PT
Bella is so silly sometimes. I love Twilight. I liked how I got to fall for Edward as Bella was. I liked the conversations between Bella and Edward and how she started learning more about the vampires.
Posted Mar 10, 2008 3:08 pm PT
i loved how he kept telling her that he was bad for her and she just kept ignoring him...
Posted Mar 10, 2008 5:31 pm PT
Now that is true love right there and I agree with you aless888!!

I am ADDICTED to Twilight. If you wonder why I call my best friend Bella, it's because of this book Seriously. I love love love Edward!!! He and Bella are only THE BEST COUPLE EVER (well, tied for me with Luke and Becky from Confessions of a Shopaholic).

I loved New Moon and Eclipse but they were far too intense to read again... I cried so much through New Moon especially. I don't know if you've read it, though, so I'm trying not to give anything away.

I can only think of one part that I absolutely hated that wasn't later made up for, but that wasn't in Twilight so I won't say what it was...

I can't wait for Breaking Dawn!!

PS: Has anyone seen the actor for Edward for the movie?! He's not Edward-material!! I'm really disappointed in that...
Posted Mar 10, 2008 9:03 pm PT
Sorry my comment is so long... Like I said, I'm addicted...
Posted Mar 10, 2008 9:04 pm PT
Oh it's fine! I'm addicted to We're all here to discuss!

I have read all the books and I did cry through New Moon to! It was sad!

None of the actors/actresses in the movie really played up to the character I thought they would look like. You know what I also heard? They aren't even going to put EDWARD'S LULLABY in the movie!!!!! WTF!?
Posted Mar 10, 2008 9:13 pm PT
Ah Twilight, such a wonderful book!! Love Bella and Edward together but am also in love with Jacob in the later books. They are not even putting the lullaby in the movie?? That is bad news!
Posted Mar 10, 2008 11:29 pm PT
Ah no lullsby? I'm afriad that they're going to butcher the book by turning it into a movie. I kind of wanted it to be a tv series so that everything could fit in and there wouldn't be a two hour time limit. My favorite book was the first, it was amazingly cute =] I loved how Edward had to save Bella by sucking out the venom because it must have been so hard for him (even though he's ficticous character, w/e)

Okay, well glad to know I'm not alone in that

OMG yeah none of them were what I expected/hoped for but Edward was the worst...

NO LULLABY?! But Lullabye (Goodnight, My Angel) is such an amazing song [for those who don't know, that's what Stephenie Meyers said the lullaby was].

I've just started reading new moon. Is it better than twilight?
Posted Mar 12, 2008 12:20 am PT
Aprilmayspring, they are all very good books, I personally think the only bad thing about New Moon is that there is barely any Edward there.
Posted Mar 12, 2008 3:54 am PT
Oh no, I missed this blog triplet! And you know I'm the hugest Twilight fan ever, we've had many discussions about it... I've just been away from the site for a little while trying to get a ton of things done in school...
Posted Mar 12, 2008 4:49 pm PT
But into a bit of Twilight-related discussion: I was at the mall with my dad and I saw a sign in front of the bookstore advertising the next novel! *squee* I think I screamed or something and forcibly dragged by dad to the store to see when it came out...but now I can't remember - is it August 3rd? That's what comes to mind...
Posted Mar 12, 2008 4:51 pm PT
And are there serously Edward-haters?
Posted Mar 12, 2008 4:52 pm PT
No lullaby? WHAT? This is wht I hate when books get turned into movies...they just mess with a good thing...
Posted Mar 12, 2008 4:52 pm PT
Although you know I still have to see the movie anyway...
Posted Mar 12, 2008 4:54 pm PT
TWIPLET! YOU MADE IT

Ya, bummer about the whole "No Lullaby" thing. I did read that rumor on Stephenie Meyer's website... I think ....so it must be true.

Oh! Also, some people who are checking out my blog are worried that there will be spoilers for New Moon or Eclypse because they haven't read it yet. So please try to refrain from spoiling them Sorry. Oh! Guess what?? I found another EDWARD HATER! AND!!!!!! A TWILIGHT SERIES HATER!!!! What has the world come to these days??
Posted Mar 12, 2008 9:19 pm PT
Yeah, I think that's the song, just probably with no words to it.

I don't understand people who hate Twilight! And Edward!! Seriously, he's so amazing, how can you not love him?!
Posted Mar 12, 2008 9:24 pm PT
That's what I said!!

Were they dropped on their head when they were little???
Posted Mar 12, 2008 9:50 pm PT
*pops head in* hi guys!
theres Edward haters?!?!are they in a mental institution yet? seriously, Edward is like, the most perfect guy.
Aprilmayspring, i like New Moon better than Twilight.

I laugh alot when Edward is mad and everything Bella says sounds dumb
Posted Mar 13, 2008 3:04 pm PT
Oh, okay. Now I know I'm not the only one

I love the Cullens. All of them. I want a bear hug from Emmitt. I love it when he says "It sounded like a bear choking." I had a good laugh with that.

Oh I also had a good laugh when Alice says "It sounded like you were having Bella for lunch, and we came to see if you woul share."

There are plenty more I just have to remember them.
Posted Mar 13, 2008 4:09 pm PT
I can just imagine Alice being this cute little tiny thing. Her and Emmit make me crack up in almost every line. I love how you get these perfect pictures of the characters in your mind and then they seem to pick all the wrong people for the movie. I suppose I'm just being selfish but the characters really don't look how I had imagined them.
Posted Mar 14, 2008 6:32 pm PT
Let me see if I have Alice's story right.

Alice was in a Asylum back in her human days. She was kept in the dark. James wanted to eat her but another vamp took her and turned her. Then left her alone. Is that right.
Posted Mar 15, 2008 4:30 pm PT
I think so I'm not sure. It was soemthing like that. I think Emmett is hilarious! He is like the big sarcastic, funny brother that everyone loves. Alice is just as funny!
Posted Mar 16, 2008 10:58 am PT
Hehe, you know what? For some reason I always thought Alice had long hair even though it mentions in the book that she has short hair. I think I prefer to think she has long hair. I don't know why but that is the way I imagine her.
Posted Mar 17, 2008 1:19 pm PT
I never really thought about Alice's hair much but what really shocks me is my sister thought Bella had RED HAIR! I was like NOOOOO! She is a brunette
Posted Mar 17, 2008 2:47 pm PT
BTW: I so love you right now Rocio for commenting on my blog as much as you do. It's like me and you are having this conversation
Posted Mar 17, 2008 2:47 pm PT
No problem Gelly.

Red hair Her hair color doesn't get mentioned much, not that I remember. I think the only time it's confirmed is when Edward says he prefers brunettes. So I guess your sister wanted Bella with red hair.
Posted Mar 17, 2008 5:27 pm PT
My sister is crazy though! (Not really)...but I mean anyone who thinks she has red or blonde hair is totally wrong!!
Posted Mar 17, 2008 6:01 pm PT
I wouldn't be a supenatural fan if things didn't remind me of it.

The first I can think of is when they are in the hospital after the van incident. Edward enters the room and Tyler is going to apologize and Edward raises his hand to stop him.

That totally reminded me of when Dean raises his hand to stop Sam from apologizine and saying "no click flick moments."

Okay there are more but like always I can't remember them at the moment.
Posted Mar 17, 2008 6:38 pm PT
You're right! I wondered why that scene was so familiar
Posted Mar 18, 2008 7:37 pm PT
yay Im finally able to read this blog! I read the book and is your fault cause this blog made me feel curious!
I really liked the book
now im gonna read everyone's opinions but let me say that I loved Alice (loved the name by the way ) she was so supportive to Edward and his relationship with Bella
Posted Apr 1, 2008 11:02 pm PT
"It sounded like you were having Bella for lunch, and we came to see if you would share." I loved that line too!
