Zombies and Indians go well together. I have alot to be thankful for for this Thanksgiving break. It beat just staying home and playing Mass Effect.

First there was Thanksgiving itself. After finishing the28th Annual Turkey Chase 4 mile run in 43:14 with my dad, I spent my first turkey feast with the family members on my mom's side. When that was done, I high-tailed it over to my dad's, got packed, and left to see some old high school buddies of mine at their cabin in Canyon Lake, just north of San Antonio. There I had yet another grand turkey feast and a few rounds of Halo 3 and ODST.

"In the eyes of a Ranger..." Leaving Canyon Lake, me and my dad traveled to Dallas to visit the relatives on his side. Along the way we stopped in Waco, birth place of Dr. Pepper and home of Baylor University and the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum. Of course, we stopped at the museum. Since 1823, the Texas Rangers have been one of the most revered law enforcement agencies not only in the state but in the country. The museum was filled with the history of the Rangers, from old guns, to many exhibits on famous members. There was even a section devoted to Rangers inpopular culture. Amoung the collection was a Walker Texas Ranger exhibit that for me was essentially a Chuck Norris shrine. It was filled with props, scripts, and merchandise. It even had the jacket and badge seen in the picture above. Above all, it was a kickass moment to be so close to a piece of Chuck Norris.

After Waco, it was a smooth travel to Dallas where me and dad met up with the family. Yet another turkey feast was there waiting for us. Good thing because I happen to be a big eater.

"On the road again..." On Saturday, me, my dad, and my aunt and uncle took a 2 hour drive to Thackerville, OK, to visit the Winstar Casino. There I waisted my first 20 Republic credits dad threw at me on the Star Wars slot. Even if it wasn't my money, the force was not strong with me that night but I still felt like a man.

Later that night we saw Willie Nelson in concert. Now I've mentioned before that I am someone with a varying musical taste. I will be into to hard rock one second, alt rock the next, screaming metalcore after that, and then be in the mood for country. Even though I wasn't an avid listener of his music and he may be crazy, I enjoyed Willie playing nonstop for an hour and a half with people including me cheering, clapping, and howlering through most of it. Needless to say I had a very great time.

So that was my Thanksgiving break. Good times with friends and family, a nice scenic drive across Texas, and plenty of memories. Now back to final exams and work resubmits.

This Half-Life 2 mod involves Link from Wind Waker and his crazy day of randomness and stupidity. You might be surprisedby who's in it.

*The following video belongs to YouTube user kitty0706 and yes I had to change the name. I OWN NOTHING!!*

As some of you know, I'm currently studying computer science at Texas A&M - Corpus Christi. It is my dream to become a game developer. I want to take my passion to the next level and becomeacogin the industry I devote to.

Though it will be some time before I reach this kind of position, I've been thinking of some potential developers I could work for. I always thought I could work well with shooters. I'm also considering working for a "big name" developer here in Texas just so I don't have to move too far away.

What are some good "big name" developers that specialize in shooters and are located somewhere in or near Texas?
