I passed it already... took me about 20 minutes, but still.

46" FullHD 1920x1080 native resolution, progressive scan (DUH), 2 HDMI inputs and the whole 9 yards. It's my dream TV. It also has this thing called... Are you ready? *Drumroll* GAME MODE!! Good for my PS3, that's what they say.

Damn it must cost like hell. I'd want one of those.

Indeed. Why settle for standard when you can go first class? One time I saw VF 5 being played at a kiosk in Best Buy and I was like "HOLY *****." I really envy those with HDTVs.

Come to think about it... I never saw anything in HD. Our cable company only has one channel and you have to get a special tuner from them for 2000 NIS (do the math) and pay 15 extra every month for just one channel with nothing really good in it. On the plus side, that tuner also acts like a TIVO, and it has 120 gigs in it. And ofcourse without a good HDTV, you won't really see anything...

Actually, with HD it doesn't... I mean, content wise Yes kicks Hot anyday... but HD is something that, right now, is exclusive to cables. It's gonna be really hard for Yes to come up with HD. Gonna cost them alot.

And I dunno, with VOD and Xtra HOT... I'm kinda pleased with them. I admit, though, that they have KAKA tuners (slow response time) and a very very ugly, old fashioned interface.

When Yes give better content I couldn't care less for the quality of the picture.

And VF5? Gears of War has graphics of teh **** and you know it.

Actually VF5 has more impressive graphics, IMO... mainly because it's a fighter game and you don't have to create many environments. But with the small stages the game takes place in, everything is beaufitul and immensely detailed. More than Gears... again, because there is less to work with.

Characters look better in VF5 and it's a clear WIN. Lighting is also a thing VF5 wins. Antialiasing is something that both games have, but VF5's a bit more tweaked. So IMO VF5's graphics are better but for an obvious reason, it's a much smaller game - less to work with.

Inferno....I dunno, although GeoW is quite impressive in its own right, I find that VF5's characters have a far more organic look to them and takes a smarter approach to rendering. Also, VF5 supports FP16 HDR (something which the X360 doesn't have) which virtually trumps that of GeoW's ancient light maps technique. Not to mention that it also runs in a higher framerate at 60 fps. Basically, VF5 is the better looking game out of the 2.

BTW, it's the PS3's GPU that can't run AA+HDR together due to RAM limitations. The 360's GPU CAN do it. But ofcourse there are many ways to get to the same results, basically... Cell. That massive beast helps RSX to bring you some stuff that the Xenon can't. THAT is why everyone says the PS3 has superior graphics - the Cell!

Err....Soul....are you sure about this? I remember reading Nostromo's post (aka Marco, one of the guys working on Heavenly Sword) over at Neogaf and he reportedly mentioned that Heavenly Sword was running on 4xAA + HDR at a stable 30 fps during its early stages (though its currently being optimized as we speak). Other than that, I agree that PS3 is overall the better machine performance wise.

Yes, I know. That's because it'srunning on NAO32 HDR. It costs much less RAM than normal HDR. I don't know what that means exactly, just that it's better than normal HDR in every way.

It is this spot and the "Endurance Run" that will be the most troubling spots for any and all who play GoWII on Titan..when NURs come into play..there are a number of other fights that become surprisingly more difficult without careful management and sound tactics.
