I realized I haven't posted in about a month, and so much has happened since then! Sorry I haven't given any TGS updates, so hope you guys were checking out the event page instead
I haven't even had a chance to sort through photos, butI'll be sure to post some tasty-looking food pics here eventually! Overall, TGS was fun, but not as fun as last year. Mostly because the show was a bit sad with less publishers and people.
This isn't going to be a very interesting blog post without pictures, but I'll try to organize my stuff this weekend and post something next week. In the meantime, I had a chance to play New Super Mario Bros. Wii and I love it! It's a lot like Super Mario 3, which is one of my favourite games of all time (Mario World comes very very close). The multiplayer is a bit chaotic, like Little Big Planet, but the controls are tight and it's everything you love about 2D Mario.
Have you guys been watching TOTS? It's getting better don't you think? I'm sorry I haven't been catching up on your blogs, I'll try to get around to that soon. Hope everyone is doing well and participating in the All-Time Greatest Game Hero thing... I can't believe Mario is NOT winning!!! Makes me sad
Maybe if I actually played Half-Life I wouldn't be as upset, I'm sure Gordon's a fantastic individual.
On a random note, I saw Zombieland last night. I don't like zombie movies, and I never watch them intentionally. I am Legend is the only one I can think of, and it kind of threw me off guard because I didn't realize there were zombies until later
I generally avoid scary horror movies, even the really fake ones. But I thought Zombieland was hilarious, even though I was grossed out by some of it.But it wasn't one of those horrible movies where it's so bad you think it's funny, I thought it was genuinely funny!
Rule #1 to surviving Zombieland - Cardio.
Rule #2 - Double Tap.
It doesn't seem like anything else is worth watching in theatres at this point. The last movie I saw before Zombieland was The Proposal--which was cute btw.
Have a good weekend!
I know, I know, the bandwagon has passed and I'm super late with this, but I only recently had a chance to download this game at work to test it out. I vaguely remember playing the PC version a long time ago, but man, this game is SO MUCH FUN.
I would encourage you to at least download the demo, because it gives you several levels to mess with. It's $15 though, which I'm not a fan of because there aren't that many levels in the game. BUT, it's one of those games that gets you hooked and you can't seem to think about or play anything else.
It's one of the few times that I catch myself smiling and laughing to myself while playing a game. It's that fun. It also makes me want to go mountain biking
Not that I actually do any tricks or take big jumps, but the trails can be a lot of fun when going downhill.
Anyhoo, PAX has come and gone and we leave for TGS next Saturday! By the time I get back, September will be over. I don't know where this year went
I always get sad near the end of the year... I love the holidays but I hate facing the fact that I am getting older. It's not even my birthday (which I hate celebrating) but it's like a checkpoint.
But let's end on a high note! Go play Trials on XBLA ![]()
So we launched our new series called "Advance Screening" where we will show you the first 12 minutes of a game and then answer your questions live afterwards. Well, 12 minutes is kind of flexible, depending on what the game is. If you didn't notice the big banner at the top, here's the video that went live today.
Let us know what you think! What kind of games do you want to see? We have some big surprises coming up, and don't worry, some will be more than 12 minutes. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 is on Friday, so stay tuned for that!
Anyway, off to Seattle tomorrow for PAX! Anyone here going? Anything you're looking forward to? I'm looking forward to eating at the fish market, heehee! I posted a bunch of pictures from PAX last year in my blog, we'll be taking tons of photos again!
