Wow. Another blog in the same month? Well, I just happen to have some free time. Plus, there were a few things I left out in my last blog. This is what happens when one types around two or three in the morning.

IT'S ENTERTAINMENT (ANIME, TV, AND MOVIES)

Anime
Every Friday, I spend the rest of the afternoon with a friend watching anime until close to midnight. Well, we finally finished the entire Dragon Ball Z series on DVD. There were times when I just wish I wasn't watching it, but it was well worth all the pain. At least I can say that I have actually watched all of DBZ. Whew! If I had to choose a favorite saga it would have to be the Cell saga followed by the Boo saga. My least favorite will always be the Frieza saga. I really, really wanted it to end because the final fight between Goku and Frieza just dragged at a very ridiculous rate. Seriously, Planet Namek shouldn't have taken more than the five minutes mentioned to blow up. I was really happy when that saga ended because I was ready to move on to the other sagas.

Anyway, we finished watching the rest of Slayers along with one of the movies. It was surprisingly funny considering that this was a fantasy-genre anime. I honestly can't think of any other anime series that made me laugh so hard. The entire Slayers series deserves my recommendation.

Then, I was shown the first four episodes of the Naruto Shippuden series. I haven't seen all of Naruto yet (plan to someday, was in the Chunin tournaments before I stopped watching), but I knew enough of what was going on before I saw Shippuden. I must thank all those friends that tell me what happens. >_< However, I was really hooked into the Naruto series. I mean I was surprised by how much darker it went after the original series. Now I really want to see what happens next! :D

Now we come to what my friend and I are currently watching, and that would by Death Note. I know there are a lot of Death Note fans that say the manga is much better, and I can understand that much. We're almost finished with the series (it's very short), and I was completely stunned by how plot-driven Death Note is. It's like seeing a cat-and-mouse game on an entirely new level, and it made me more interested in the series than I was before (I had very little interest at first).

So what will we watch next after Death Note? The options I'm given are Final Fantasy Unlimited, The Irresponsible Captain Tyler, and Samurai Seven. We haven't made a decision yet, but you guys will know eventually.

TV
This part is going to be brief because I hardly watch television anymore. However, I have been getting together with a bunch of guys every Thursday and have been watching the second season of The Big Ban Theory since school started. In case you're wondering, we've been watching one disc a week and just finished it this past Thursday. It was a very good season, and I really laughed out loud in a lot of the episodes. Was it better than the first season? Yes and no. It did provide plenty of laughs, but I think the season as a whole didn't quite become better than the series premiere. Now I need to watch the third season whenever I can on TV.

MOVIES
Over the weekend, I went out with my cousin who lives thirty minutes away from the college. We got the chance to see the Toy Story double feature in 3-D. I was actually expecting it to be more like an IMAX feature where the images pop out from the screen. However, it was more of like seeing the objects and characters stick out more instead of being flat on the screen. Nonetheless, it was worth watching in 3-D. Just like any other Pixar movie, there's usually a trailer for one of their upcoming movies. Well, here's the trailer to Toy Story 3. I am really looking forward to seeing that movie.

LESS THAN 500 TO GO

This is actually the main reason why I made this blog in the first place. Like I mentioned before, I will give anyone a free pencil sketch to whoever catches or comes very, very close to my 20,000 pageview on deviantART. Now I'm not going to limit this to my watchers on DA. That's right both GameSpot and Fur Affinity can have a go at it. Just make sure you send me a note or e-mail stating that you have proof that you caught it. Does this sound like a challenge for all of you? I hope so because I want to share this excitement with all of you. So I have drawn something for the occasion which will be colored in Photoshop and then posted when the time has come.

I wish you all a happy hunting for that pageview!

Thanks for reading! Until next time!

Now to get to work on some art with the free time I have left.

Your mentioning of Naruto has reminded me of my complete neglect of that and Bleach. At one point I was always keeping up with them every week a new Japanese episode was subbed, but I haven't done that for probably over a year. I just don't like it when a series drones on for-freaking-ever even if I enjoy it.

Which brings me to Death Note and how much I love it for being short, but oh so sweet! Anyone who tells you the manga is strictly better than the anime probably has really watched the anime to notice that they are so close as to be almost shot-for-shot identical to each other. I have the entire 12 volume manga series and it is fantastic!

Probably the shortest series ever is FLCL at only 3 manga volumes and 6 episodes of anime. If you like your stuff bizarre and humorous with a massive helping of WTF?, then FLCL is for you.

Another one which I need to start reading again is Hikaru no Go. It centers its characters all around playing the board game Go. Sounds lame, but it is actually very interesting.

Recently I picked up the first volume of a new manga that seems interesting called Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei. The main character is always depressed, constantly thinks negatively, and wants to commit suicide. Fun, fun!

I watched all of the Naruto series and some of the episodes from Shippuden. The latter had a long drawn out battle that turned me off of it. Reminded me of DBZ at times.

I've seen bits of The Big Ban Theory. I didn't find it all that funny even though they were touching on World of Warcraft and the like. The only show that I watch every week is Heroes.

I haven't seen anything in the theater for awhile, but I did watch Beverly Hills Cop I & II, Under Siege, and Halloween: H20 since my last blog post about the previous ten.

Oh boy I loved Toy Story when I was a kid, now this movie shall be great.
Anyway it's not Boo Saga, it's Buu Saga.
And yeah Shippuuden, I'm like up-to-date with the anime, also I'm up-to-date with the Naruto manga but if you don't read it then I'm not telling you the whole thing.
4 days until our birthdays, I wonder what type of celebration we'll do? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

@ebbderelict: You're welcome! Which one were you referring to though?

@usagi704: Heh, I don't think I would have been able to wait each week for an episode to come out from Japan. I agree that it's bothersome when a series drags out a part of the plot for the sake of filling 20 to 30 minutes of an episode.

There are other anime series I like that are short, and Cowboy Bebop is one of them. I had someone say the same thing about the shot-for-shot of Death Note. If that's the case, then I guess I'm okay if I don't read the manga.

I've heard so many things about that show and how bizarre it is. I need to find it on YouTube or something.

I've seen a preview of the anime, and it looks interesting. I don't know if I'll watch it though.

I have seen that manga at a Barnes & Noble before. I'll have to look into it.

@hart704: I guess I should be prepared for the worst if I am to ever watch Shippuden.

Yeah, The Big Bang Theory isn't for everyone, and that's understandable. I have some friends who are into Heroes, and I hope to check it out someday. I'm sure it's much better than Lost.

I would like to see Beverly Hills Cop someday.

@nsoliveira: That's why I'm looking forward to it!
Ah, okay. I thought it was spelled Buu, but I went with Boo just in case.
That's fine. I think I'll be all right if I don't read the manga.
I know. Hmm, any ideas?

Oh, sorry, the one to your page @ D.A. You know.. the most important one

@SonicHomeboy: Shippuden isn't that bad. I think the filler episodes of the original series killed off much of my interest.

Oh god Lost. I literally watched just part of an episode and didn't understand why anyone likes that show. I was lost on Lost to say the least.

I'm worried TS3 will make me sad, Andy is getting rid of them all!

I was visitor #19,552 so I might try again tomorrow I'm also excited for Toy Story 3!

@ebbderelict: Oh okay! I wish you luck!

@hart704: Oh okay. Yeah, filler episodes do take the fun out of an anime series. I've been debating whether or not I should watch The Bount story arc in Bleach.

My parents had been renting Lost from Netflix, and it was interesting up until it got way too confusing. I think the writers didn't know what they were doing.

@roguele_beau: I am too, but I'm sure it will be good nonetheless.

@gamer_girl15: It's cool. Good luck though! Yippee!

Good job being a trooper and watching all of DBZ!! It's not the best anime out there but many people get easily turned off by its quirks and dismiss it too easily. And yeah, the "5 minute" fight between Goku and Frieza is definitely one of the most ridiculed parts of the anime - even I though it was stretching it. But ahh well, nowadays nevertheless I still wished I could change my username. >_>

Anyways, I love Big Bang Theory!! When I first started watching that show, I couldn't stop laughing at their antics - oddly enough because I relate to bits of their hopeless intellectualness (I think I just made up a word there ). Certain episodes are definitely funnier than others though.

@dbz345: Thanks! Yeah, I don't think it's one of the best. It was fun to watch sometimes, but the rest felt like a drag.

Awesome! Yeah, there are some episodes that are funnier than most. My favorite is when they get a replica of the time machine.
