There has been quite a large amount of rumors and various media showcasing a lot of different aspects what might be a slim version of PS3.

The way I see it very simple, if you look at past Sony PlayStation console generation, they all received 'slim' versions and based on this fact and Sony strategy alone it's not hard to expect PS3 Slim in near future.

The question now is: "When will it happen?".

That's the only valid point I agree with, how will the Slim version look like? What kind of features will it posses? what will it be priced it? Will current models see a price drop?

All those questions right now going around the net are pure speculations (for different websites attention).

When Sony announces the time release, we'll finally see the true image of the new console and we'll know for sure what it will bring along.

I don't trust rumors, never had, never will. Taking them into consideration? Sure, but with large grain of salt. If you get too attached to the ideas and in the end get disappointed - well; there is no one else to blame honestly.

For me personally, PS3 Slim doesn't bring anything to the table. I got my early adopter 60GB version (320GB upgrade) and had enjoyed it ever since.

Of course, many people in this hard recession times are all ears on price drop and rightfully so. I personally believe PS3 is a incredible piece of technology and money savings for it are well worth, even if it seems expensive on first glance. This is further fueled by competition, media brainwashing and consumers who would rather listen to the others then actually think for themselves.

This doesn't concern everyone but majority of people put their trust into Internet and clueless folks who aren't well informed or simple have special agenda on their own.

In conclusion, I believe that those users who are patiently waiting to purchase PS3 "slim" or price reduction should remain calm, cool and collected.

Do research on your own, trust yourself and only then will you see things for what they are.

After all, it's your hard earned money.
