It's been some time since my last blog. On one side work, family and friends continue to keep me busy, on another - gaming time is definitely limited then when I had more free time to spare on my hobby.

In any case, I think both of my latest RPG's I got a chance to review deserve to be mention as it's about time I move away from Persona 4. (Fantastic game by the way but I seems to have special love for P3 FES.)

Quality RPG's are hard to come by in this generation of gaming, it seems that shooters are clustering the market even more then ever and we can see that they are evolving. Borderlands, Bioshock, Fallout 3 are just small examples where we're going to be in future.

FPS games are getting mixed with RPG elements and for once, I don't actually think it's a bad move, as long as it's done well.

Today however I want to express my gratitude to two companies: Bioware and From Software, the respectful creators of two latest released fantastic RPG's. Of course I'm talking about Demon's Souls and Dragon's Age: Origins.

It's been two months since my last blog and in my free time I had a pleasure to finish and continue second play-troughs on both titles. Those who know me since my time on Gamespot, I'm pretty versatile when it comes to gaming genres but Japanese or Western RPG's along side sports games and some racing titles are my personal passion.

I have little over 55 hours with Demon's Soul and 100+ hours still continuous playtime on Dragon's Age. Both titles are the reason why I still continue enjoying gaming, not to mention I enjoy getting my money worth spending and there is no better titles to fill in those shoes when it comes to RPG's at this time.

I don't know the reason's why we haven't seen more of quality titles but recession, high cost of development could be one of motivations for such low volumes of RPG, not to mention FPS games that almost completely took over consoles which by their design weren't the hardware to release such titles on in past.

In either case, I hope this generation brings us more quality RPG, both Western and Japanese.

On the last side note of the blog, I'm preparing to bring together the list of games I will nominate for my personal Game of the year title.

Now then, it's time to spank some Darkspawn. ^_^

It's been quite a busy month on my side, while I'm still in search of full time job position, due to recessions layoff, I had some free time away from part-time work to sink in with newly arrived Uncharted 2 and MAG beta's.

While I'm not inclined to talk to much about MAG I was able to finally play it few times last week after about seven and half hours patch download which was around 2.8GB I believe.

Either the servers were extremely crowded with people downloading patch as well or Zipper servers were set-up the specific way to only give small amount of network data transfer. I usually take 30-35 minutes to download 2GB files. Whichever the reason for slow speed traffic I got disconnected once when I was around 24% which took almost 3 hours. I decided to start over and was successful.

While all MAG beta testers are on strict rules of obligations I can safely say my earlier fears are almost completely gone. Zipper Interactive truly has a quality team since I had nothing but good and fun time with MAG. Just recently I was able to reach required level to lead the squad and satisfaction of leadership is great, it's optional of course. I picked Raven as my primary faction simple because I enjoy their tactical, slick and technological feel. All the factions are well balanced and I never felt that I was overpowered by the other factions.

There is much I wish to share but when time arrives I hope more people will get to experience the game and we could openly chat about it.

So far, MAG is my list of wish to own games and I have yet to see all it has to offer.

Uncharted 2 beta however is a different beast, available to everyone as a multiplayer demo on Sep. 29.2009 I believe you can already jump into action if you pre-ordered the game via voucher download code.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is probably one of my favorite new I.P. on PlayStation 3 so far into console life span and after watching the latest Qore issue I could not believe how much they added to the game, from both visual and content level.

If you can recall, I was in Uncharted 2 beta some months ago (thanks to Qore), and it had less content then current build, nevertheless the hype and expectation for U2 is definitely worthwhile. I especially enjoy viewing the video files where I take screen shots of the action, it's a nice feature play around with. I haven't tried the twitter yet since I haven't jumped on that wagon and I'm not familiar with the service it offers.

My major interest was the single player but after enjoying the beta multiplayer for some time now (especially the co-op and arena) I'm looking forward to the game overall package even more. Naughty Dog deserves my congratulations, I have a good feeling Uncharted 2 will be more then worth the money spend.

Other then that I found some time to review Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and Infamous.

I started watching two new Anime series which are both relatively short - "Area 88" and "Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team" which are really not that bad considering I haven't see anything that interests me since "Ergo Proxy".

Time is really something you wish you had more as you get older. ^_-

Got the new shiny Blu-tooth headset and not sure how to make it work with PS3?

Fear not. It's a easy, quick and simple process as long as you know the procedure and sequence of the set up.

Turn on your PlayStation 3, and from the main menu go to Settings - Accessory Settings - Register Bluetooth Device

You will be presented with two options:

Register BD Remote Control
Register Headset/Microphone/Headphones

Select Register Headset... and put your Bluetooth headset into pairing mode. On your PS3 select Start Scanning

Select your device and enter your pairing code. In most cases for audio devices the default pairing code is "0000"

Now on your PS3, go to Audio Device Settings and change your "Input Device" and "Output Device" to your Bluetooth headset name. Try speaking and watch your "Mic Level" move!

This method pretty much works 99% of the time with any blu-tooth headsets.

If you're looking for PS3 headset I wholeheartedly recommend official PlayStation 3 Blu-tooth headset. They are relatively cheap this days, around 25-30$ and work very well with clear and loud voice chat and volume.

Some people just don't have opinions. Like Sokol4ever.
Sokol4ever must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could Sokol4ever possibly have for not rating a single film?
