Hello, tv.com.

It has been too long, hasn't it?

What is everyone up to? I have been sick for a week, but slowly getting better.

Anyway, I wanted to do another blog, it has been forever.

I'll do another list, which is what I love doing most.

My 35 favorite shows on tv.(as in, shows that haven't ended yet)

How many of these are you watching?

35. Damages

I have never liked this show as much as the average critic.
But it is a great show that I still need to catch up on. Eventually, but it isn't a show that I NEED to see.

34. Being Human

One of the few British shows that I have ever truly liked.
What is taking Season 2 so long?

33. Hung

Still need to catch up on this show, but is it good? Absolutely.
Humor is very awkward, which doesn't appeal to everyone, but it does to me.

32. Family Guy

Haven't watched this one in a while, but it is a great show for when you are bored.

31. Medium

Haven't bothered watching the new Season yet.
Quite frankly, it is a great show but it is time to end it already.

30. The Tudors

Pretty much the guilty-pleasure version of 'Rome'.
Is it worth watching? For sure, if not just for it's sexiness and great outfits.

29. Man Vs. Wild

Gotten a little tired of this one, but Bear Grylls never gets boring.

28. 30 Rock

A little too American, but I certainly understand the hype.
Best comedic cast on tv, for sure.

27. The Simpsons

This show never gets old. 21 Seasons old? Damn.

26. Nurse Jackie

One of the best new shows of the year, Edie Falco blows me away with her great performance.

25. Weeds

The humor on this show is getting worse, whilst the drama is only getting better.
It is being dragged on longer than it should have, but it is still worth watching.

24. Rescue Me

This show is like a roller coaster ride, it has big highs and big lows and little in-betweens.
But the occasional great performances and unique story makes it unforgettable.

23. Nip/Tuck

Pretty much the exact same thing as Rescue Me.
But season six, which will be the series' last, is proving to be as dark and as memorable as the first three seasons so far.

22. South Park

A show that has gotten a bit too old, but is it still entertaining? You betcha.

21. Skins

Too high on the list? Pretty much.
But when the show is good, it is pretty heartbreaking.

20. Survivor

In it's 19th Season, and still going on strong.
The only reality show that I would recommend to anyone.

19. Epitafios

I am probably the only person here that will ever watch this show.
It airs on Latin HBO, which means that it is all in Spanish. Pretty awesome.

18. The Office

Behind on this one, mainly because I do not like it as much as during it's first three seasons.
But it is still one of the best comedies on tv.

17. Entourage

I am not yet caught up with this one, but I have been watching episodes here and there and loving it more the more I watch it.

16. In Treatment

I am still not finished with it's first Season.
Why? I do not know. Honestly, I loved what I saw of it. Excellent show.

15. Lost

The show has changed so much, and I don't think that it's as smart or nearly as touching as it used to be.
It actually feels like just another action-y show instead of a powerful, supernatural drama.
Hopefully Season 6 gives it the right send off.

14. Robot Chicken

One of the best ways to kill time.
It can be hit-or-miss-y, but for the most part, it is pure unconditional entertainment.

13. True Blood

What is not fun about this show? It has sex, gore, supernatural people, and decent writing and performances.
The best guilty pleasure on tv. period.

12. Party Down

Probably overrating this show that almost nobody has ever even heard of.
But I love it. I love the characters, the cast, the GUEST STARS(!!!), the humor. It is one of those shows you just simply love.

11. Bored To Death

If I would ever write a comedy, it would be something like this.
Just extremely dry, and probably lame. It's hilarious and akward, I love it.

10. Friday Night Lights

Season 4 is starting all over again, half the cast is gone and the show is just better than ever.

09. It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia

Currently going through it's worst Season yet, but it could still recover.
The people on this show are horrible low-lives, what's not to love?

08. Modern Family

Still very fresh and new, but already loving this one.
The cast is superb, with the likes of Ed O'Neill and Ty Burrell.
It has two Colombian characters and the dialog is sharp and histerical. One of the best comedies in a long time.

07. The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency

My favorite new show that aired this year.
So far, still has not been renewed or cancelled. Hopefully it does get a second season, because it was a true African gem.

06. Big Love

This show has only been getting better and better.
It has gotten better than I ever though it could get. Gut-wrecking and occasionally hilarious.

05. Flight Of The Choncords

The world needs more Folk, I demand it!
As of now, whether Season 3 will happen is still unsure. HBO wants them back, but the Conchords are not convinced yet.
Here's hoping they do at least one more season.

04. The Venture Bros.

Best. Animated show. Ever. Period.
I love everything about this show. It is epic, freaking histerical, has one of the best voice-acting, excellent set of characters, and a better written and less confusing mythology than Lost.

03. Breaking Bad

Bryan Cranston really carries this show, his performance reminds me of the Deadwood cast, it is that good.
The show is very thrilling without being cheap, you never know what will happen next.

02. Dexter

Season 4 is doing what I didn't think was going to be possible.
It is making me love and fear this show even more. This Season's villain, The Trinity Killer, is almost as freaky as Twin Peak's Bob.
What a great ride this show has been.

01. Mad Men

What can I say about the show that hasn't been said already?
It is a work of art, every single frame is. I can just pause any episode and still be amazed by what I see.
I love that about this show. There is a group of people that will never get what I mean, but if you are into art, you should be able to understand.

The Simpsons are going to outlive us all
I watch 30 Rock, The Office, Lost, Dexter, Breaking Bad and Mad Men but I'm behind on most of them.

Hola Don Juan Glad to see you around and to hear that you are doing good. I’m good, a bit meh about the horrible weather and at having a new jerk of a boss, but oh well, guess it makes life interesting.

I regularly watch The Tudors and True Blood, and ocasionally The Simpsons, South Park and Flight Of The Choncords. I can’t wait for series 4 of Tudors and True Blood just aired here (we are so behind *sigh*) but it’s really catchy and I’m enjoying it a lot.

Have a great weekend. Many hugs

add a commentLost and South Park are the main ones there I watch. Agree that Lost isn't as good as it once was, still looking forward to the final season tho!

It sure has been a long time its good to see a new blog Awesome list full of shows I have recently gotten into I count 13 that I watch some I catch more than others like Lost, I never miss a episode but agree with you it is not the same than it used to be, The end is coming at the right time and season 6 will totally sum everything up nicely. The Tudors is great mainly because it is like Rome like you have mentioned. 30 Rock is really funny but really American it's a good job that I know a lot about America and its culture otherwise it would be really unfunny. Bored to Death is brilliant, so funny and so underrated.

Petef: Me, too. If they manage to bring back some dead characters, and give you a satisfying conclusion, I will probably love it.

Efc: Hey, dude. Long time no see. Glad you are watching so many of these, Bored to Death is one of my favorite new shows.

Im watching Modern Family too, one of my favorite new comedys this year.

I watch The Venture Brothers off and on. I happened to catch the season premier a few weeks ago and had no clue what was going on.
Posted Nov 7, 2009 1:24 pm PT
I'm planning to watch Mad Men, maybe Breaking Bad, and I really want to catch up on the rest of Dexter.

Man I have got to get around to watching Being Human, we don't get it here but I think I know of two sites that should have at least some episodes. The Tudors the guilty pleasure of Rome hmmm...I would say that The Tudors is better then Rome for no other reason then JRM and some of the fantastic supporting cast. Not to mention detail to things like wardrobe. Even though I love Rescue Me I agree with what you said overall the show can be very impression but generally it's a pretty uneven show. Nip/Tuck season 1 through 3 are great, season 4 was so boring but seaosn 5 and 6 are just trash in my opinion. After two episodes of season 6 I stopped watching. The show has just sunk to low for me. The Office is good as always but like quite a lot of fans if it weren't for Jim and Pam I don't think I ever would have watche din the first place. Not that it isn't plenty funny but it's just not the kind of show you can get hooked into (the kind I love most) without JAM. True Blood really is a guilty pleasure because season 2 my opinion had only two saving graces. As always Eric and the highly underused Godric. Beyond that I thought the rest was just nothing and kind of lame. I watched the pilot of Modern Family (the high school musical dad shooting his daughters boyfriend in the neck with that toy was fantastic) but it conflicts with Glee so...and oh my god have you not seen Glee?!?!?!?!

Some very unheard shows on the this list. All my favorite shows are canceled unfortunately, with a couple exceptions of course.

Hey man, how's it going? Still love Lost. Have faith in season 6 JD.
I've gotten into Skins just recently too. Still have to see season 3, but 1 and 2 were great.
I'm 5 episodes into season 1 of True Blood. Awesome show.
The Office, Family Guy and The Simpsons are top notch comedy.
Modern Family is meh. I tuned in, and didn't find it anything terribly special. You should check out Dollhouse and perhaps V.
Take care man.

Auntie: Venture Bros is a show where you need to pay attention to understand what is going on. Which is why it is so brilliant.
Posted Nov 9, 2009 1:29 am PT
Fatfreeos: You really need to just do that
Posted Nov 9, 2009 1:29 am PT
Ashley: Tudors better than Rome? :O. Nip/Tuck Season 6 has been very nice and dark, Teddy is really reviving this show.
Posted Nov 9, 2009 1:30 am PT
Cano: Which of these are unheard of? A lot of them are cable shows, cable shows are the best as we all know
Posted Nov 9, 2009 1:31 am PT
Joe: Yo, long time no see. I have yet to see V, but I will. Dollhouse is a bit... dull, I don't dislike it though. Only on the second episode of Season 2 though, need catching up.

Mark: W00t, you can always download things you know? Isn't Breaking Bad out already?
Posted Nov 9, 2009 1:33 am PT
Clemontine: Let me guess.. Dexter, Lost, Office,... South Park?
Posted Nov 9, 2009 1:34 am PT
Dexter, Lost, True Blood, and The Tudors. I guess I was referring to the first three only. I dont know many ppl who watch The Tudors.
Posted Nov 9, 2009 10:33 am PT
I know, but I like owning things, haha. Not out here yet as far as I know =(
Posted Nov 9, 2009 3:06 pm PT
I mean maybe I'm biased because long before I saw either show I had a obsession with Henry VIII but yes I honestly think The Tudors is so much better then Rome (not to say Rome isn't good but you get the point). I mean JRM alone man.
