Hey everyone! I just put up a Super Mario Galaxy review! You can find it here. I gave it a perfect 10. I loved the game so much! It's the first of the modern Marios where I've gotten all 120 stars, or even wanted to. My sister and I had a great time with it, as you'll find in the review!

I hope you enjoy reading it. Feedback would be greatly appreciated. As I've said before, I write the reviews for myself primarily just to get some good writing practice in a format that I rarely use. I like to experiment with style. Galaxy was, for me, a way for me to spend time with my little sister, so I approached the review in a personal, experience driven manner. It's not going to read as a product review so much as a "this is what the game means to me."

In other news, I got Left 4 Dead this week! Unfortunately I'm having trouble with my Xbox and live doesn't exactly work. At least I can play it local multiplayer, which I've done quite a bit since I picked it up.

Next blog will be a continuation of travel tales. Hope everyone had a happy 4th and enjoyed celebrating Palin's resignation! Haha!

Well written review - I will have to see about getting this for my sis - she liked Zelda but has not used much besides Wii sports and Wii fit lately - needs to do something just for fun

I liked the review. You did a great job at explaining how fun the game is. I'd like to make some suggestions if I may. I feel that most of the first paragraph was unecessary because it had nothing to do with the game. I also think you should've gone into more detail; perhaps you could've mentioned the unique use of gravity and/or the suits and how they contribute to the orignality. It's just a matter of being more specific in a few spots, but you did a good job overall.

If I were to buy a Wii, Super Mario Galaxy would be the reason. I'm sure everyone says that though. What other reason is there?

It's a decent review, a bit too personal at the start for my likings though. The game definately is awesome, however, I couldn't give it a perfect 10 just from the fact that there wasn't many suits, and the ones in the game weren't utilized much.

Recommended. I always enjoy reading reviews written from a personal perspective because it's something I have trouble with. I haven't written a review in a while, but most occassions when I try and make it read more personal, I end up reverting to type and looking at it solely as a game which is how I'm most comfortable writing.

I saw you playing L4D on Live last night or something? All my friends want me to get it, but I ended up getting Sam and Max over Xbox Live Arcade. I love Sam and Max, but I still feel like an idiot. xD

@MAILER_DAEMON - I told you, it's not my interntz, it's my Xbox-netz. I'll be happy to replace it if you wanna give me $200

@iowastate @Allicrombie @LK-47 - Thanks!

@dracula_16 - Thanks! That was actually really helpful. I was trying to shy away from the technical, but your critique made me realize that the end of my review did get technical, so when I wasn't technical and detailed about other parts it seemed lacking. I appreciate the criticism.

@Akayy_47 - I'll let you know when I figure it out myself!

@JustPlainLucas - Like I said in my blog, I really wasn't going for a technical review. I feel like in a Mario game the technical part is much less important than the experience you have with games... in all honesty, I feel like that's the case with a lot of games! Describing the controls and menus and all of that isn't that helpful to me. I'm more interested in what types of experiences you have with a game... when the technical aspects of a game create problems, then I find it worth mentioning, but when they don't it gets tedious to write about things you could find out when you pick up a controller for five minutes. I prefer to read more personal reviews. So I am experimenting with style here. I also didn't think the suits were perfectly utilized but that didn't stop me from enjoying every second of the game. I think if they were better utilized I might have enjoyed it more, but I won't dock points from the game because of that.

@PAJ89 - thanks! I'm not completely comfortable with it either yet but I like writing this way... it's a learning process. And this is my first review in a while too! But I have two more coming very soon.

@NeoGen85 - I can get on Live, but I can't play most games over Live because the way my Xbox connects to the internet doesn't work quite right after it jumped off my bed in my dorm in December. I want to pick up the Sam & Max games sometime; they look fun!

Great review I have to say. SMG was an epic game which is truely as you said - instand classic. Looking back at the review I did I should have given it at least a 9.5, it was a very fun game in deed!

Nice job on the review. Now I really need a Wii to find out why you rate it a perfect 10.
