Wow. I haven't blogged in well over a year.

Does anyone still read this? How have you all been lately?

The distance maims my life,

For every hour without you is an hour unspent.

When I look ahead to the future, my spirit is uplifted:

I see someone whose divine laughter launches my heart forward,

In the direction of a paradise that is reachable, its gates wide open.

If our troubles could be abandoned, and the flames of our abuse extinguished,

I would run with you until the world itself collapsed beneath us.

Even after speaking it, the word still lingers on my lips:

Love, undeniable and indescribable.

Forever will I recall the smile that crept across my face,

Rendered speechless when I heard you speak.

Forever will I recall the violent beating of my heart,

When I could say with certainty that I was enamored of you.

Skeptical I am not, for I have still the conviction of youth within me:

Everything is here to stay. What we treasure today will be seen tomorrow

You amount to all, while the world is little more than an unwanted distraction.

And, upon my deathbed, when memories blind and assault me:

Your name will be whispered, and so will I smile.

Smile and depart with the knowledge that I could experience true joy

And, when I did, nothing else held importance.
