This is gonna be a long one, so get a coke, you'll
need it.

There's a media corporation, called NewsCorp, that owns over 5
trillion dollars worth in media outlets around the world; magazines,
news stations, newspapers, radio stations, even movie studios and book
publishers... it's insane!!

Among the list are 3 things that caught my eye specifically; the FOX
Corporation (all the Fox channels and whatnot) are owned by this
conglomerate, as are MySpace and PhotoBucket, and IGN; IGN is a news
front itself, but it's based mostly in entertainment, games and movies
and the like (including online sales and copy protections).

Think about that, the world's biggest TV/Movie company, the biggest
social network, and the largest entertainment editorial, all owned by
this one company... and it spans all 6 continents, all over the world.

Now, let me explain the conspiracy part:
1.) Fox - I dunno if you've ever watched any of the news and political
stations on TV that belong to Fox, but there's an abundance of them.
Fox has the unique ability to take an issue, "debate" or discuss it on
national television, and then form an opinion, which most of the
viewer take as their opinion as well. In doing this, Fox can control
politics from almost every aspect, especially Presidential elections.
It also allows them to take focus off of important issues (like global
warming) and tell you about something minor (a missing person, for
instance). Now, Fox is well known for having Republican views instead
of Democratic, and Republicans are stereotypical rich, high up figures
(the Enron people, for example). So with the power it has, Fox can
take attention away to protect the rich controllers of the world,
while at the same time ensuring that the people elect a given person,
with the rich's interests in mind. Think about it, George Bush's
family owns a heap of oil companies; how much have you heard about
an alternate energy or fuel on TV?

2.) MySpace - This one should be obvious... millions of people have
MySpace profiles, and these profiles have a WEALTH of information
about individual people. That means that a huge assortment of
accurate data is readily available, without any government paper
anywhere. This could be used in lots of different ways, for example
if they read my blogs they could keep tabs on my profile (and anything
else online, now that they can track me). It's well known that police
and FBI have used MySpace profiles to watch potential criminals, and
to track blacklisted people. But when a non-government corporation
has access to such an overwhelming amount of data, the possibilities
are limitless.

3.) IGN - This one is more subtle than others but it's worth putting
here; IGN has everything from cheats and walkthroughs for games and
reviews of new movies; IGN itself owns several smaller sites, one of
which is called RottenTomatoes, the largest online movie review site
in the world. Having all this under one corporation leads to a
problem; if it's all owned by one parent company, then you can bet
your ass 99.9% of the content will share the same views as the parent;
we hear lots of guff in the news about how bad some movies and games
are, this is where such things can be somewhat controlled (although to
a lesser extent, by far, than the first 2).

What's interesting about all this, not much of it is DIRECTLY owned by
NewsCorp; for example, NewsCorp controls RottenTomatoes because RT is
owned by IGN and NewsCorp owns IGN (if that makes sense). This allows
the parent (NewsCorp) to silently own and control these outlets
without much public attention; if NewsCorp's name isn't directly on
something, then most people just wouldn't notice.

Added on to this, I noted several times that it doesn't just own
several interests in media, it owns the top-rated and most "used"
things, giving them a market share that's unbelievable, the kind of
money it would take to get this kind of operation running is too high
for me to even dream of, which brings the question, how the hell did
they end up with all these things? It would be like if Google and
Microsoft (after buying Yahoo) were owned by Intel or something...
content control, media control; they can dictate what we do or don't
see on TV, read in books, and things of the sort. Now obviously right
now I can't prove that they do, at least not beyond a shadow of a
doubt, but no one corporation should have this kind of power... with
what they have, I would say they have just as much (or more) power
than the United States Government... bloody scary.....

What also interests me about this, I got to wondering how one might
stop that by destroying the parent, but it doesn't seem possible...
they have it structured much like the Executive branch of the
government--- if one person can't be at the top position for whatever
reason, then there's a person standing in that can take his place.
Not to mention, even if you managed to cripple the parent itself, the
child companies still have their respective power, and since they are
all owned by the parent, in order to completely fix this, you would
have to systematically remove each child, meaning everyone on each
Board of Directors, all the CEO's, and you would have to financially
weaken them individually; this technically can all be done within the
stock market, but it would take trillions of dollars to do this (you
would be buying at least 51% of each one's stock, to give yourself
ownership, and 100% to get complete control).. seeing that Fox alone
would cost a few hundred billion, it would be impossible to buy it all
out.

So what we have is an invincible corporation that has data on almost
all internet users, can control political views, public opinion, and
dictate (through the previous two) what decisions are made and how
they are made. All under one roof.

This is like nothing I've ever seen, I mean I've heard things like it
but I never imagined such a thing was possible... this is nuts,
man.....

Now, I've sat and thought about this stuff, and let's say there was a
way to remove this parent and it's children. That would remove,
temporarily, all that control from any one group, and I'll betcha a
lot of things will improve in the world 200%. I won't even bother
mention advertising, which is obviously in media and is responsible
for a lot of poverty but the implications here, screw the World Trade
Center that has nothing on this, you take out something like this
corporation, and you effectively cripple the ruling crap and in the
process, while it would be chaotic, it would restore a lot of what
we've lost over time: certain freedoms, free press, advertising would
return to controllable boundaries, etc etc...

MAN this has got my mind moving, I'm wide awake, rocking in my chair
90 to nothing... How the hell do you stop something like
this??????????????????????????
????

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/News_Corporation
Take a look at their holdings, you'll see what I mean.

Hell it looks like it's all controlled by one man, this Murdock
guy..... That's even worse, that makes him a REAL Deus Ex
Machina.......

lmao I can't type fast enough, I've been working on this email for
over an hour and I probably done wore out the backspace and delete
keys... but dammit look at this stuff!!!

*lights cigarette*

Okay, now help me think. This is the fun part; imagine what we could
do, if it were us that owned all this! We could own the WORLD more or
less!! Think about that, all it would take is ownership
of ONE corporation, and BOOM; we make it to the top of the food chain
in terms of wealth, power, and control. It reminds me of the
Illuminati, something else you should read into. The Illuminati are
(supposedly) a group of people, a secret society, that rule the world
to a degree from various positions of power, the silent hand behind
everything. One could logically connect the Illuminati to this
corporation, the shoe definitely fits. And it's been proven that they
exist, but no one knows to what degree.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Illuminati

Then, there's the other side of the coin, how to take such a thing
down. Some would say that crippling the power structure like that
would do more bad than good, and I can see that argument in some
lights, but in the end if you took the grip off of everything, the
world wouldn't be so commercialized, and I don't have to explain what
all that could do in terms of the economy and society. But, the
problem is HOW, how do you do this? Assassination wouldn't work, as I
said once one leader is removed, another replaces him. You can't do
it financially, at least not the way I was thinking. You could try to
make it go bankrupt, but with the scope and amount of holdings this
thing has, that's virtually impossible...

Damn my brain is exploding, I found the motherlode of conspiracies...
you couldn't expose them publicly since that involves the media, and
they ARE the media.. all of it would have to happen behind closed
doors.. But try as I might, I cannot think of a single way to
exterminate the parent as a whole; you could attack the child
companies one by one but that takes time and money, and while you're
busy tearing one down they can build up 5 more... GAH this is eating
me alive, I'm sweating because I'm thinking so hard...

Or to condense that into two words: media monopoly.

Okay... I got through most of it. It's a mix of emotions, and depending on your outlook on what's important in life, it could mean everything or nothing. Unfortunately I don't have that stamina right now that you did when you put this together

I grabbed a Mountain Dew, I hope that is alright. So we are being controlled and there is not much we could do about it? Or at least in a reasonable and easy way. Without having tons of money? That is definitely a creepy thought right there. Unless I am missing something.

SavageM2: Yeah, thats fine. I actually prefer Mountain Dew over Coke anyway but I prefer Vanilla Coke over Mountain Dew
Your not missing anything. As corny as it may sound, as long as I can get through to one person, its worth it.

B-B-But what if you're like me who stays locked up in their homes forever and ever without any media or social influence at all?
