Currently Listening to: Butchering the Enlightened - Job For a Cowboy

How many of you guys remember sitting infront of the television watching Transformers (the cartoon) while holding your favourite Transformers figure? Well I don't but I remember having a few figures when I was young (I think I was about 4-5 years old) I remember watching the Transformers G1 (Generation 1) on TV before heading off to Kindergarten. From what I can remember, I remember having Optimus Prime, a White Porshe (I forget the name) and Grimlock. Its a shame I don't have them anymore.

Anyways today I recieved 2 big boxes in the mail (my younger brother woke me up from a very odd dream) I went to the front door and find out I have to pay $60 for damn custom fees. (I sware it is happening alot, first with UPS and now Canada Post) The first box were skate shoes, my brother and I got a pair, since mine are falling apart which they are about 2 years old and i've been skating in them. (Fallen for him, Adio for me). The other box was of course mine, I didn't think it would come so quickly but i'm glad it did. I busted out the xacto knife and carefully cut the tape hoping that I didn't cut the Transformers box. I opened the flaps and a bright light started shining from the inside and all of a sudden everything became quiet and slowly fading in, a heavenly "oooohhhhh!!!" Haha, only kidding.

The box was huge, got the figure out and examined it from head to toe, back to front andI must say, this figure is beautifully made. Now since it was packaged in it's robot mode. I decided to see what he would look like transformed into a gun. NowI have read that alot of people have broken certain parts while transforming Megatron, soI took my time and transformed him carefully. Since the instructions were in Japanese (a Japanese import, sorryI didn't mentioned it earlier in this blog) I had to follow by looking at the pictures. I found myself saying "what the f**k? or where that f**k is that located) But 1 hour later, I finally completed it. (Yes it takes some people about 30 minutes to 1.5 hours). Though the gun was massive, it still looked really nice and I was happy to see that there wasn't an orange tip at the end of the barrel (Stupid US policy for all toy guns to have an orange tip at the barrel). But even if it did have an orange tip, I would have pulled it out.

It was cool and all butI would much rather have him in robot mode, It took me about 15 minutes to transform him from gun to robot which was good because I don't think Icould stand sitting there for another hour. I scored this brand new off eBay for 109.00 USD which is cheap compared to other online places. (He was about $180+ also he was rare to find). Once I have a little more money,I plan on buying Optimus Prime w/ his trailer and maybe Grimlock and Starscream. But for now, i'm just gonna take it easy since I spent alot of Megatron. I know that Optimus Prime with his trailer will be reissued in October so i'll pick him up then.

I added some pictures to show you what it looks like, he's mighty sexy! Let me know what you think! Sorry I didn't take any pictures of him while in gun form.

Oh and by the way, he's about 12" maybe a little more tall.

awesome megatron. I really need to get back into skateboarding. I haven't done much skating since last fall. I used to skate 4-6 hours a day. damn, I need to start doing that again. I've got a nice Flip board that skates perfectly, although the deck might need to be replaced after skating if for a while longer.
