Because there was a game expo here in Finland this weekend, Digiexpo. It's not a true game expo, there's also other electronic stuff, but I go there just for the games so it's a game expo for me

Nothing great in there this year though, mostly old games or stuff that just came out (Tekken 6, Ratchet&Clank). I guess we're too small of a country to get anything about games coming out next year. But that's how it is when you live on the planet farthest from the center of the universe.

There was a very small Gran Turismo 5 thing there, nothing exciting came out in it really. Well, I now know there'll be Lambos in the game, not that I really care. No split-screen battle in the demo menu, but let's hope it's because it's not the European version (and not even the full version) of the game. Graphics look great, as usual, but I'm not sure I like the fact that they've changed the career mode (or so we were told), so that you can get stuff in shorter time periods. I do hope there's still some good endurance races left, and long tournaments. I really liked those.

No intention of getting Dragon Age. Granted, there's no dices in it, but there's also nothing spectacular in it, just another Baldur's Gate. Boring.....

We're somewhat confused about Tekken 6 now. I was living in the assumption that it will only have online battles, so no couch-versus. But apparently we were wrong because the people there were playing against each other, on the same screen (and couch). If that is true then we might be getting it after all.

A very nice surprise was a demo of Dante's Inferno. As expected is as straight a God of War -copy that a game can be And what I know of the plot (which is little), it doesn't really have a plot. But I think I'm not going to care, because Dante could be the game that can replace God of War III so that I don't have to get that one. I'm still pissed off about the 2nd game (no real changes to anything, nothing properly new, and no plot before the last 10 minutes of the game), so I really don't want to get the 3rd one. No matter how much better it could be or how much everyone else would love it, I just really don't want to give money to those idiots who thought that getting away with a re-paint of the same wheel would be possible (though apparently it is, seeing how no one else minds that the game had nothing to offer ). But Dante could be that "proper God of War II" I always wanted -new weapon (and scythes are always way cooler than some blades stuck in chains), new powers, and new places. The controls didn't seem as accurate though (because, granted, God of War has perfect controls), but that could've just been the fact that you couldn't really see anything from the screen (crappy brightness/color adjustments).

Saw a bit of Assassin's Creed II, looked rather nice I might add. And Uncharted 2 really is a very beautiful game, too bad I don't like all the shooting. Avatar the game was also there, but only on Wii so I couldn't try it out. But that was about it, no Mass Effect II, or White Knight, anything else that would be interesting for that matter. And I don't have anything else either, for that matter.

PS: Finished Brütal -the ending wasn't as good as the rest of the plot, but at least it didn't make me sad so now I can play the game again

So, hello again kids. How is life? Poopie as always? Well that's nice to hear. I haven't done anything, my exam isn't worth mentioning either, and I'm on my vacation week and been feeling a little sicklish. So let's get right to the business of Metal

Brütal is not quite done yet, though during these 12 and half hours I've managed to do all available sidequests (at least my map is empty of them, not sure if I'll still get a few in the very end). Still missing 45 bound serpents though, and a few landmarks and light bulp jumps and one last legend, which confuses me a lot since I can't comprehend where on earth they could be. Bugs the hell out of me too. Other than that there's only one thing you really need to know about the game:

I admit, I'm partly biased because a game about heavy metal with Jack Black and Schafer couldn't be bad in my eyes. But that being said, I was still expecting only a mediocre game with some good music and a great attitude. Boy was I wrong! The game includes those two of course, but there's also a good plot, great characters and a fabulous folklore in the whole world. It's amazing how incredibly believable it all is, in it's twisted, distorted metal-infused kind of way. But it really is, the world and everything in it is fantastic. And the whole folklore-thing is just awesome, it's over the top in the perfect way to make it totally believable.

As you can see I'm in love I'm not saying it's a perfect game though, too easy even on Brütal, the gameplay is a little off, and we all know how frustrating RTSs are on consoles. BUT it's not brütal, I've had worse and it works well enough to not annoy me. Besides, all the good it has makes up for the small problems of the gameplay -I really can't remember when was the last time a game got me so worked up about the story and the characters that I didn't want to finish it because I feared it would end badly And only FF titles have made me love their universes as much as Brütal, so I'm pretty impressed.

In other gaming news, I'm getting the new Ratchet and Clank at launch after all -because I can get it 20 euros cheaper and with pre-order bonus I'm very much love to get Demon's Soul, but there's no news whether it's ever coming to Europe or not. Odds being "not" at least for now, so I'm forced to consider Dragon Age: Origins. Problem is I don't want a game with invisible gods playing with dices when it comes to the abilities of my armour and whatnot, and it looks too much like an Oblivion copy slapped over Baldur's Gate. *sigh* I want a JRPG.....

I really didn't have any other stuff for you but my Brütal (pun intended) rant about the goodness of the game. Have fun, I'll see you when I feel sad, lonely and angry again
