Wow, I haven't been here in a while.  Hope everyone is doing great and all, and still enjoying themselves.  Let's see...

New Dersden Files book was awesome; can't wait for Codex Alera book 4 this winter

The Golden Compass movie seems to be coming along well, and the first trailer for it will premiere with Pirates 3, so you can guess where I"m gonna be come May 25

Planet Earth on Blu-Ray absolutely throws out the window any questions of "was it really worth it?"

FOX continues to try my patience by cancelling Drive.  That's, like, entry number 11 or something on the list guys.  Keep it up and see what happens -_-.  All you've got now are House and 24, in that order (yup, 24, my how you've fallen.  I have the last two weeks on Tivo and still haven't watched them yet)

HEROES continues to be friggin awesome, and is the reason I haven't watched 24.

LOST is learning

Pan's Labyrinth comes out this week, so I'll finally get to watch it, and Black Laggon (source of my new icon) comes out next week; it's an awesome anime, I recommend it to all

Bleach is still the greatest thing to come out of Japan

I have found the most perfectest place in the world for me to live.  It's literally across the street from where our new clinic's going to be.  It's a neighborhood of townhomes that is less than a mile from the gym and wal-mart, which aside from work, are the only places I really need to get to.  It's about 1.5 miles from Best Buy and the Super Target, and puts me closer to all my friends.  It has a basement (loud music!) and enough space for a Bernese Mountain Dog.  And a fenced in back yard.  I'd basically save a huge amount on gas and time.  It's just a matter of affording the place, which is basically impossible to do anywhere around here when you're single.  But I'm kind of "meh" about the whole roomate thing with strangers.

Still awaiting the arrival of a next gen video game that makes me say "wow."  God of War 2's the closest thing I have to that, unfortunately -_-.  LAIR, Hevenly Sword, Assasin's Creed, Uncharted, Heavy Rain, Little Big Planet . . . it's a waiting game, it seems.

And on a sad note, my best friend, Matt, was one of the students killed during the VA tech shooting.  He was an engineering grad student, and his loss is a shocking reminder that the world's nowhere near as cookie-cutter and rose-tinted as I like to imagine it to be.  I feel for his parents as well, as he was an only child.  My one consolation is that I spoke with him the night before.  I was reserving a hotel room to head down and see him that weekend for the spring scrimmage game and to just hang out.  Instead, that weekend I had requested off from work was spent at a funeral.  He'll be missed.

Got my PS3 reservation today

Fourth in line outside the store, although upon opening, there were still reservations open (11 people at 10 o'clock; store's getting 13).    At first I was a little nervous about there being few people, but given the fact that within 1.5 sq. miles there are two Gamestops, two EB games, a Target, a Wal-Mart, a Circuit City, a Best Buy, not to mention the mall, I'm sure the people were just spread out.  And 3 miles South there's another shopping area, and 10 miles North, an even larger one.  Also, kids were in school, thank God.

Reserved the system and a copy of Motostorm, to go along with Resistance and Assassin's Creed that I've already reserved.  Now I just have to figure out how to handle the fact that on November 17th, I leave for Anime USA.  Dicey.

Also, God Hand coms out today!!

As some of you may know, my favorite animal is the river otter.  That little critter you see in the "about me" sections is an otter, in case you didn't know.  Otters are cool.  They just hang out, float on their backs, fly down mudslides, and occasionally . . . attack dogs.

Some people just don't have opinions. Like Siesser.
Siesser must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could Siesser possibly have for not rating a single film?
