Oh noes! Why SiK....whyyyy?!

I'm [pun] sik [/pun] of newcomers (and some vets as well) spamming the DS forums with Pokemon threads. I understand this is sort of a gray area as far as the rules go but its driving me nuts. I should be enjoying myself here and I'm not so an extended vacation is needed.

Woah, SiK. Are you saying that just because you don't eat, sleep and breath Pokemon that others who do shouldn't post topics about their favorite game?!?

Since the DS is the only gaming system I still own, the DS forum is the one I mainly hang-out in. I'd like to be able to go there and discuss DS news without having 95% of the topics be about Pokemon. I'd also like for non-Pokemon related topics to not fall down so quick because people are bumping old Pokemon threads or making new ones.

And ya know..it isn't that people want to discuss Pokemon that I have a problem with. Its the countless clone threads...people making topics that are EXACTLY THE SAME as a topic within the first 1-3 pages of the DS forum. How many threads asking for trades do we really need? Maybe new DS forum rules are needed?

SiK, what can we do to help???

I know that the biggest offenders seem to be people that have new accounts. Instead of letting these topics die or directing them to consolidated(or sticky) topics for a specific subject (ex. trading, team rating)...we have vets of the DS forums that actually answer the same type of topic over and over. This just compounds the problem.
