With all the recent presidential debates going on, I began thinking if a President Simulator game has ever been created. Then I thought further andI don't think there's any game that puts you in the true role as a U.S president. I've played thousands of games from many different genres and none have ever put me in a virtual oval office to be "Leader of the Free World".

You have games like SimCity, Civilization, B&W, etc that make you a president/god that oversees with a birds eye view (or satellite) the development of your land or country but none really put you in the authentic daily role of president.

I understand the concept may sound boring but its no different from those Sims games where you play normal people doing normal stuff. Surely the life of a president is more exciting and intense than your average sim...so why not? Or am I wrong and there has been a president simulator game created already?

Any luck with your president simulator? Did anyone else respond to you about it? I have had some ideas on the subject, and would like your feedback.

I am planning to potentially shop the idea out to developers once I find the right venue to do so. So what ideas do you have specifically?

If you'd like you can reach me at ShockG707@aol.com or here. Thanks for your interest!

There was in fact a presidential sim way way WAY back in the day like 1993... It was called "shadow president" and somehow I kept getting myself assassinated. This game is so old I bought it on 3.5" disks for my x386

Though I can't recall any game where you take a first or 3rd person view of the life of a president, I can recommend 2 old DOS games in addition to Shadow President. One was called Crisis in the Kremlin, which was about the final years of the Soviet Union, and you are premier. Another was called Hidden Agenda, which allowed you to be interim-president of a recently liberated South American nation. Both are well worth the time and can be downloaded from Home of the Underdogs, and played on DOS Box

I was at Best Buy today...well, I actually work there, and there's a game called Oval Office. Sounds like exactly what you're looking for.
