Read the article, the company Silicon Knights, Sued Epic Games. Silicon Knights claims that Epic purposely did not give them unreal Engine 3 for E3 2006, and told them missinformation of how to encode the engine.

If Silicion wins, Epic loses all the profits on Gears, and gets sued for god knows how much.
