Yeah man, this place is done to me. That last few weeks, not just the Gerstmann thing, but also other issues here with questionable suspensions and whatnot, have just nailed in the last few bolts for me.

Its like a nuclear bomb finished off a battlefield that had been dying for years as it was.

I truly hope that the good people at Gamespot can either find a way to turn the ship around, or just move on to better places. But its going to take a hella an effort to smash through those waves.

I'm really split right now about what to do, I have an account on 1Up but I barely use it. I love their podcast but I feel the community isn't as good as the one in GameSpot. It is for people like you that I keep coming back. The damage done to GS' integrity has been brutal, it will take a long time for me to ever trust any review posted here again (plus the 0.5 thing made me wary of it to begin with) It would be a shame to see you go for good, but it is your choice... Happy trails my friend and maybe we'll cross paths again on 1Up. My profile there is bare bone compared to the one I keep here, I guess I'll have to get around to "clonning" my profile if I ever find time to do so.

Wow you and ragingamer....werent you guys pretty longstanding mods? that's some big changes right here....i dont understand whats so special about the virtual underground though, even GS with totally useless reviews (of course that wont be true though) is still a good resource to have.

Dirk - TRG quit a while ago, and I resigned as mod at the beginning of November due to time constraints. There are other sitees which provide some good reviews, and while there were some good members in the forum that I'll miss, there are other developments which are seeing some of them depart too. Things were getting stale here and Gerstmanngate is the tipping point. So best of luck to everyone who stays, and all the best to the remaining GameSpot staffers.
