I'm not on speaking terms with my Xbox 360 at the moment. The little swine keeps dropping off my BT wireless internet for seemingly no reason whatsoever, even though it worked fine a few months ago. It effectively becomes a lottery if I can actually sign in to my profile and be online without having to do a mind-numbing five minutes of testing my connection, the machine freezing all over the shop while doing so. Naturally the best part comes when within minutes of being online it randomly disconnects again. Or pretends it can't connect when I can see my friends list pop up and the marketplace fill up with content to download.

Jump in? It feels more like taking a Stanner Stairlift down a long flight of steps. I think all the faffing about is a large reason why I haven't played my 360 much recently, Worms aside.

It's also wonderful to see that the one online match I manage to get into Worms sees the host drop out after a bad start. And then my 360 loses its connection. Gragh. I am just at the end of my tether with this stupid thing. Back to the chunky DS and 42 All-Time Classics (aka Clubhouse Games) it is then.

I just got a 360, and I'm really frightened to even try to get online. I'm ironically absolutely awful with electronics (my two main hobbies are gaming and listening/creating music on the computer) and don't have the slightest clue what I'm doing with modems and things like that.

If I ever get on I'll add you, though.

Wireless has never been the best way to play games online...I wouldn't blame the 360 entirely. If you can, try a wired connection. But, I'm guessing the reason you're using wireless is because it's your only option. Anyway, good luck with that I guess.

I get what you mean about the 360 and connections. I'm still playing mine from time to time -- offline, naturally -- but it's not getting nearly as much use as the PS2 and the Wii, machines that put the focus on offline gaming.

Odd, that.

Don't get me started on wireless internet. I might get a brain aneurysm or something. Why... WHY? Why does the Wii require a wireless signal to go online!?

Still though, 42-in-one Classics is an awesome game. A bit of a sleeper hit, that one. My favourite is Balance, in the Action Games.

I've actually managed to get my online connection sorted out by switching off and unplugging my router and 360, switching them on again, re-inputting all my information and passwords and moving my console's location. Phew.

And yes, 42 All-Time Classics is one of the best games on the DS, though I curse it's ridiculously hard iteration of Solitaire. Curses!

Wireless and internet just don't go hand in hand when it comes to game consoles. It's a simple and frustrating fact.

My internet connection has been driving me nuts too, as my Xbox 360 has ALWAYS had a 'Strict' NAT setting. It's caused me to go out and try and replace my router, so if it's worked you should see me around this weekend on Xbox Live.
