Seriously. I don't know what in the world happened. I woke up at 7:45. Took a shower and then woke my daughter up to get ready for school. I looked at the clock and it was 8:38 as we were heading out the door. When I got her to school (literally just around the block, takes like 2 minutes to drive there) I went to sign her in at the office and the clock read 9:50. WTH? Where did the hour go. I am still kinda freaking out about this. I even went back home to check the clocks to see if they were an hour slow, but they matched the school's time. I am just baffled.

I thought that too Slugg. That's why I went back home to check, but everything seemed normal. I looked at two different clocks before leaving too.

I've had that happen before too DM.

If it's the first time something like this has ever happened to you, I probably wouldn't worry about it. But if it's happened before, you might want to consider discussing it with your primary care physician... better safe than sorry .

That's really odd...perhaps you were just so caught in things you were thinking about, time just passed quicker than you realized...?

Maybe you and daughter were abducted by aliens for an hour?

Joking aside that was pretty strange, SBS. The parrots never know what time it is.

taz - I don't have a primary care physician. I try to avoid doctors as much as possible. I'm sure they would have some new experimental drugs for loss of time disease though.

RedRobin - I was pretty aware of the time. I checked the clock right before leaving the house. I just don't think that's what happened, but I have no other explanation.

13P - I can't come up with any other explanation so that one is as good as any.

One time I went to bed but i couldnt fall asleep so i told myself that i'm gonna count to 3 and then fall asleep. So i counted in my mind... 1... 2... 3... i opened my eyes and it was morning i dunno where did all the time go too i didnt even feel like i was sleeping so it happens i guess... =]... i hope

Don't you hate that. Were the clocks in the schools fast? Example I went to sleep for 3 hrs last night, felt longer, yet when I do sleep for a long time it feels short. Must be a deep sleep. They do say that when you're in a hurry time feels like it moves slower. I guess the opposite is true.

lol. SUE THE GUY WHO SOLD YOU THE CLOCKS. They're enchanted

Yeah, that is very strange.

I'm going with Alien abduction but I'm highly prone to conspiracy theories.

Anmoranalina - That's really weird!

gad - I don't remember where I got the clocks from.

AnimeDestiny - It definately threw me for a loop.

Lisa - You crack me up. I too am highly prone to conspiracy theories. I wouldn't want to live in a world without conspiracies.

Here are my 3 possible explanations:

#1 - I was abducted by aliens for an hour while driving my daughter to school. If this is the case, then most likely my daughter was abducted too because she didn't complain about me being gone for an hour.

#2 - The world we live in doesn't really exist. We are all being used as batteries and physically exist in pods while our energy is harvested by aliens. The world as we know it is a huge computer program (aka The Matrix). The anomaly that I experienced was a consequence of a glitch in the program. I was the only person who noticed because I'm special.

#3 - After tracing the events that happened after I looked at the clock in the house and before I noticed the time at the school (12min and/or 72min), I came to the conclusion that there were two things that happened in that time. Driving to the school was one of them, but something else happened as well. As I was backing out of the garage, my 3.5 year old son opened the door, held up his arms, and said, "you forgot to give me a hug mommy". I stopped the car, got out, and gave him a giant hug (he is so cute ). Therefore, the 3rd possibility is that time stood still for an hour while I hugged my baby boy in the garage.

Any other theories?
