Good news!!
I am happy to report that my team lead has moved to another project! She was a good programmer and self-motivated, but her and I didn't click very well as a team. We had the opposite of synergy - I'll call it drainergy just because I feel like it.

Not so Good News..
The folks I work for (in a round about way) had nearly forgotten about the project we've been working on, but when they heard she was leaving it sparked their memories. Now they have moved the completion date waaay forward. So basically the amount of work that used to be distributed between her and I that was to be completed by December is now all on me and must be done months earlier. I haven't heard a solid date or plan just yet, but I can tell it's not gonna be pretty. Oh well, I guess it's all a matter of motivation anyways.

Other news...
I've been submitting stuff. Yeah, weird, I know. But it's kind of fun once you get started.

I'm almost finished with Kodocha. I think I'm on episode 90 out of 102. Only a few more to go. I think the major story line is already pretty much wrapped up at this point though. I am actually getting used to watching with subtitles. I'm able to catch some of the really common phrases in Japanese now, and I'm not even trying to learn it. I do think it's a nice sounding language though.

Anyone have any recommendations for what anime to watch next?

Yeah on the lead moving, boo on the deadline moving up, yeah on the submissions, don't have any recommendations on the anime. Sorry, SBS.

The parrots want to know if the sheep would like to be either the maids of honor or the best men for Miss Arie and Sir Musket.

Hope that the sheep are treating you well. Blessings to you!

Good news: that's good to hear

Bad news: bummer, well good luck with getting it done on time

Other News: Ya, it is fun. Sub is the best way to go. Mhm, you can easily pick up some words while others once you've written them down, it's easy to remember. I agree.

I could give you a thesis worth of anime to watch next, but i'll hold off....for my sake and yours

Hmm, top 3 to watch next would be....

1. Darker Than Black- it's great.

2. Aquarion- one word, rocks. The first of the 2 DVD box sets are out (i should know, i've got it) and dont know when the 2nd one will be out.

3. I would say Death Note, but you might not care for it.

They all run about 26 eps *with the exception of DN being 37eps*, but they're worth it.

If you're in the market for longer running series, might i suggest "Naruto" and "Bleach".

I'm probably forgetting some of the best anime i've seen, but that's how it goes

Good luck with completeing that project. My own deadlines (but for school) are starting to close in on me as well. At the risk of souding completely stupid, I still have never figured out what these submission things are or what they mean.

Hope that project will be completed real soon. I know what it's like to be behind.

13P - The sheep are honored that Sir Musket and Miss Arie have asked them to be a part of the ceremony. However, since they live a lifestyle of free love without commitment, the whole wedding concept is unfamiliar to them. The parrots will have their work cut out for them if they are planning to teach the sheep proper wedding etiquettes.

Thanks JPPT! I hope you are good too.

YNB - I would gladly read your 'Anime Thesis'! Do you have a page on the myanimelist site? I've heard a lot of people raving about Death Note. It must be really good. The other two I have not heard of, but I will check them out on your recommendation. I've seen parts of Naruto and Bleach, but never had the motivation to watch them all the way through.

RedRobin - Deadlines = motivaiton for me so hopefully I can pull this off. About submissions... In a nut shell, this site wouldn't be very interesting if not for the user submissions. All of the info on the show guides is there because users submitted it. There are lots of shows that have missing info. If you see a blank, and you know what should be there, then you can submit the info. If the editor for that show accepts your info, you get points and your level goes up. Make sense?

Thanks DancingBeetle and Slugg! I'll let you know how it turns out.

Hmm, gad likes DeathNote and Bleach too. Those two are popular. Thanks for the recommendations!

Yeah. They're good. You'll like them, I'm sure

It depends on what type of anime you are striving to see. If you like to see action anime a lot, then there is Bleach and Naruto. If you have not seen Cowboy Bebop yet, you should check it out because it is a good action anime with a good plot. Trigun is also another consideration to think about.

If you also like romance or slice of life animes, then you should check out three animes that are based on the Key Series called Air, Kanon06, and Clannad. The animation is high quality at its best for anime so I'm sure you will be impress. Just make sure to bring tissues though, because there are tearjerker moments in each of them, especially from Air and Kanon06. If you like to see comedy anime, then there is the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. I think that is one of the funniest and strangest animes in my mind. I haven't seen School Rumble yet, but I have heard that is a very funny anime also.

Hope your project goes well.

Actually never mind about Haruhi Suzumiya, you actually already seen it.

Sorry to hear that your workload got doubled and that the deadline got moved forward, both at the same time. I hope it goes well anyway.
Maybe you can get someone to fill in for the woman that left? I dunno if that's possible, but it might be a solution.

Cool that you're starting to learn Japanese.
About what animes to recommend, it depends on what genres you like, but I'll try to give a variety and hopefully you'll find some interesting enough to try.
If you're into some psychological drama with a darker undertone then Death Note, Code Geass and Monster are three really good shows.
Or if you like lighthearted comedy types of shows Minami-Ke, Sketchbook - full color's and Moyashimon are nice to watch. Some more focused on comedy than others.
Ef - a tale of memories, Air and True Tears are three visually beautiful shows with a nice drama storyline and a little romance. If you find that amusing.
9 is my lucky number so nine shows is enough. All of them I can highly recommend.
If you wanna read more about a show, MAL is a good place. Just search the anime there and there's some info to read. Hope I somewhat helped. ^_^

Whoa sorry for the long post.

Anime-Destiny - I surprise myself sometimes by the types of anime I get into. Haruhi Suzumiya is one of my all-time favorites for sure. I am willing to try out any show because I am fairly new to anime and havn't found my niche just yet. Thanks for the recommendations. I'll check them out.

Nicasso - No worries, you can post as much as you want.
I'll check out those anime and see if any of them catch my interest. I've heard so many good things about Death Note.
I recently opened an account at MAL. It helps to keep track of stuff.
Thanks for the recommendations!
