What with the price drop and the release of the slim model, I'd figure it would be a good time to get one.
The game that kinda sold me on one was Demon's Souls. It seems like the type of game I could easily invest a butt-load of hours into and not get bored. Sure the difficulty looks harsh...but I'm sure I'll overcome it with perseverance .
Of course games like Ratchet and clank: a crack in time and Uncharted 2 are nice bonuses

@Shinobishyguy : You are going to love both Ratchet Future (Crack in Time and Tools of Destruction) games, Demon's Souls, Uncharted, and especially Uncharted 2, and probably even InFAMOUS.! I could go on and on, but that's enough right there for now. lol.
Good luck, The PS3 slim has indeed got a great new price, but not everyone is getting one for Xmas. Hope you are one of the lucky ones! Stop by my blog sometime, even if you just want to say, :Hi!" lol.
