old game.. but seeing as I got a psp a little over a month ago I decided to pick it up.

without spoiling much lets just say I just cleared the whole "Nibelhiem incident"

what I like:

. Zack is a pretty likable main lead. leagues above Cloud anyway.

. Presentation is top notch. On par with many high tier ps2 games.

. The core combatis pretty fun.

. materia fusion system has alot of depth

what I dislike:

. Not enough bad-ass remakes of FF VII tunes. The majority of the new tunes sound more like DeathNote music that final fantasy music :/

. Genesis is a fruit. Seriously, he makes Sephiroth look like Duke Nukem.

. The majority of fights can be won simply my mashing the x button. Very little fights had any strategic thinking whatsoever.

. DMW is horrible. linking your leveling up and progress with a slot machine? Bad idea square.

Not to mention at times it gives you limit breakers up the wahzoo and takes out all the challenge of boss fights.

. sidequests are tedious

so all in allit's a solid game. I'd give it about an 8.0.
