First thing is I leveled up to level 23, dont know what a "super bagman" is thoughXD
Second this: PS3 Slim at gamecom? Ok...this is more than unfair. its smaller and cheaper than the usual ps3. oh and the logo is new. wooow. great. just to sell it better than xbox 360 and all dignity is gone..I mean, isnt it true that ps3 still doesnt have many games? shouldnt they be working on that issue? Does this new ps3 change the fact that much? yeah I bet more people will ps3 and thats a good thing because I support ps3 100%, but this is a little unfair to all who bought it from the beginning(the original, I mean). I bought it for mgs and dmc I just couldnt wait and now this? Almost betrayal...I dont know, just cant agree with it. not fair.
PS: "super bagman"... a super man with bags? Its a mystery..

Well I had always planned to get a PS3, but held off until now. Think of it this way, you may have had to pay more but you have been able to enjoy it longer than someone who waited to get the slim. And really everyone knew a slim model would eventually come. They did it with the PS2 after all, really not much of a shock.

I am really glad that they made Slim PS3 and for 299.99$ that amzing deal, but still i prefer my original PS3.

Uhhhh....PS3 has a lot of great exclusive games. Uncharted, Metal Gear Solid 4, Little Big Planet, Killzone 2, Resistance 2, inFamous, etc. As for upcoming exclusives, we have Demon's Souls, Uncharted 2, God of War 3, Heavy Rain, MAG, etc. Only 360 fanboys would tell you PS3 doesn't have many great games.

Seriously? I mean come on, console makers have been revamping current gen consoles in a newer shinier jacket for more sales since the sega megadrive (genesis) days. Sega genesis had about 4 revamps, Nintendo revamps every current gen gameboy about 3-4 times and Sony has revamped every previous playstation, so why is this even remotely surprising? Everybody and their uncle should've seen this coming. And Ps3 has a respectable library of games, with a nice line-up of exclusives. Certainly not a shortage, unless ofcourse if you have a specific gaming taste. And you know the obvious advantage early adopters get? They get to have it earlier. Oh and that gamescom thing? I'm totally going to be there.

Its not a big deal to me my PS3 is still the ultimate in sexy for a console. TBH I think is shows how loyal you are when they come out with a slim that everybody buys and you still have the original, at least thats how I felt about my PS2.

congratulations on your level up! Not sure about this PS3 slim deal although the HDD space sounds good. Until FFXIII versus and Kingdom Hearts 3 come out, all I need is my 360...

congratz on new level and i will have to disagree with you the PS3 has a excellent lineup of exclusives the only think i think they have to work on with there gaming line-up is stop losing exclusives(i know M$ has almost endless amounts of money but u gotta keep exclusives) and approve there downloadable line-up(i know its hard to do when PSN is free but they gotta do that) But Sony at Gamescom was A HUGE success

Yeah. I like the PS3 but I feel that the slim was not really needed. Sony still has a great deal of good updates to add to the PS3 such as the cross game chat and voice messaging.

As for the price drop issue, every year many consoles and gadgets for that matter will lower its price as more efficient and cost productive methods are introduced. While you may think that its almost unfair, the fact that Sony used to sell each PS3 at a loss, that's quite the opposite.

I am doing ok waiting for school to start and I am waiting for tekken 6 to come out oh yea go see district 9 an awesome movie.Oh and you haven't added me on psn yet .

I'm thinking about trading in my old PS3 and buying the slim version cheaper. It has a much bigger harddrive so it might be worth it.

Second, I really don't regret buying my original one because I have a card reader, I can install an operating system if I needed to, and I have software PS2 support

@Bigboss232: Yeah tekken 6 is going to be really special, district 9, sounds good^^ oh psn, I usually just play games and forget that it has network stuffXD when I feel better I will add you. @PlzDieNow: 40BG...but you can play ps2 games with that version, or is it only possibe with the US 40 GB version?

No, that's the worst part actually. On the european versions you can only play ps2 games with the 60 GB ps3, which I would have bought myself if I didn't get the 40 GB for my birthday
