ME2

Bioware revealed that Mass Effect 2 will be launched at the same time for both PC and X360, when said game reaches the market by the first trimester of 2010.

This was announced by Jesse Houston, associated producer to the game, during an interview for the site VG247, where it was also mentioned the difficulties of adapting the original game to the PC.

"We learned a lot from building the PC version before, and having built it six months later there was a big difference. So we actually took what we learned from PC and put it back into 360." - Jesse Houston

Houston also guaranteed that the only difference between the PC and X360 versions is in the controls, since "This time round, doing it at the same time for a sim-ship, we can control the differences much more smoothly because it's the same team building it now."

GC

The end of Gamescom happens with closed doors, where 6 judges already decided which were the best presented games in this year's event.

We have, as a winner, the strategy game from Blizzard, StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty.

The judges' justification for this nomination is, "It's certainly the game with the perfect balance between graphics, sound, gameplay, fun and progress."

Here are the winners in their respective categories:

Best Game of the Event - StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty

Best System Game - Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

Best PC Game - Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Best Portable Game - The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks

Best Online Game - Aion

Best Family Game - Mario & Sonic at Winter Olympic Games

The event will still be underway during the weekend.

FF13

We finally know when this game will reach every continent. My particular interest is in Europe, of course.

Yoshinori Kitase, the game's producer, told VG247 that FFXIII will reach Europe by 2010's Spring.

"We do not know the month for sure, but the launch for Japan is scheduled for this Winter, and in both North American and European territories it's scheduled for the next year's Spring."

Kitase also confirmed that:

"For both Europe and North America, the PS3 and X360 versions will be launched simultaneously."

"For older titles, it would take a considerable amount of time, normally more than a year, to localize each version and bring the games to Europe. However, for this title there will be a huge difference, as we hope to bring FFXIII to Europe as soon as its American version is out."

Again, we are given a very vague launching date, for all continents. For Japan it can this year already, and as for both US and EU it will be between March and June.

Some people just don't have opinions. Like Shiizuki.
Shiizuki must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could Shiizuki possibly have for not rating a single film?
