Okay there are only 5 things I want this Christmas
1. The Ability to drink coffee without spilling it on myself. Seriously - I'm not sure how Santa would manage this one but I'd really like it. One day humans will be like Iphones and we can buy applications and I seriously hope this is one of them. I guess until then, I'm just going to have to make sure I have paper towels handy.
2. To pass all my Algebra exam. I didn't know Chapter four was going to be covered (mostly because the prof had a third. THIRD! website that wasn't linked to the only other two I know of that had this information on it). The end result being - I walked into the exam without a formula sheet (which the other website said was allowed), and with 1/4 of the material unstudied. If there is a Santa clause - he'll make me pass that exam.
3. A space heater. I wasn't joking when I said my apartment was freezing. There are ice crystals on the INSIDE of our windows.
4. An X-Box 360. I wants one so badly I aches for it. Also because then people will finally come to our freezing apartment despite its freezingness.
5. Rock Band 2 with the wireless instruments - because this 80% of the reason why I finally decided I needed an x-box and also because its the only game guaranteed to get all my friends over many times a week despite the freezingness of my apartment.
6. Because 5 just isn't enough - I want Christophe Maé - with a cute little bow fixed onto his cute little self. Which brings me to my new obsession.
Last week my flatmate, Tina, made me watch this French Musical called Le Roi Soleil. It's a musical that follows the great loves of Louis XIV's life, as well as other events like the Poison Affair and the Man in the Iron Mask. The songs are great even if I can only understand half of them as my french is good but not that good.
Christophe Maé plays the King's brother and is the comic relief whenever the content gets too serious (i.e. the baby killing). I checked out some of his other stuff via the all powerful Youtube and his influences are basically reggae and reggae influenced artists. Here is a link to one of my favourite songs by him: http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=0_kAH8GyNNA
And here is a link to the flagship song of Le Roi Soleil sung by Emmanuel Moire: http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=W-Ap2qhiS38
Comments
I have to see that movie soon, L'Essentiel is such a good song and I loved the video too. I liked the song by Christophe too, I like what it says, but not the video. You can put accents in blogs, it's only in comments that you can't Christopher's surname takes an accent, but I'm sure you knew.
